Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani is a member of the ruling Al Thani Qatari royal family. He was the ruling Emir of Qatar from 1995 until 2013 when he abdicated the throne,handing power to his fourth son Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani who was born to his second spouse,Moza bint Nassir. The Qatari government refers to him as the Father Emir.

Oil was also discovered for the first time during his rule.
Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani was Crown Prince of the State of Qatar. Sheikh Hamad was the second son of the second Emir of Qatar,Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani,and also the father of the fifth Emir of Qatar,Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani is a Qatari businessman. He is from the Qatari ruling family and a distant relative of Qatar's previous ruler Sheikh Hamad. He owns the Spanish Segunda División football club Málaga CF as well as several thoroughbred racing horses.

He has also been serving as Chairman of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) since 2014,and is a member of Qatar's Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investments (SCEAI) since 2014.

Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani is a Qatari politician who has served as Prime Minister of Qatar from 28 January 2020 to 7 March 2023 and Minister of the Interior since 28 January 2020.

Its scope is to ensure fair trade and competition and restrict fraudulent and monopolistic activities. In October 2021,Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani was appointed as minister. The current deputy is Sultan bin Rashid Al-Khatir.
The Ministry of Finance is the ministry responsible for handling Qatar's public finances.
