Johan Hagbart Pedersen Grøttumsbraaten was a Norwegian skier who competed in Nordic combined and cross-country. Dominating both events in the 1920s and early 1930s, he won several medals in the early Winter Olympics. Most notably, he won two gold medals at the 1928 Winter Olympics, and as one of the only two entrants to win two gold medalists from St. Moritz, was the most successful athlete there, along with Clas Thunberg of Finland. Torgny Mogren is a Swedish former cross-country skier who competed from 1984 to 1998. He won the gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. His best individual finish was a fifth in the combined pursuit at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.

Gerhard Grimmer is known as an East German cross-country skier who competed during the 1960s and 1970s. He won several medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, including golds in the 50 km and the 4 × 10 km relay ; silvers in the 30 km (1970), 4 × 10 km relay (1970), and 15 km (1974); and a bronze in the 50 km (1970). Grimmer also won the Holmenkollen ski festival at 50 km twice (1970–71). He competed at three Olympics and his best Olympic finish was fifth at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck in the 50 km.
Martin Lundström was a Swedish cross-country skier who competed in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He was born in Tvärliden, Norsjö Municipality.
Yevgeny Prokopievich Belyayev was a Soviet/Russian cross-country skier who competed in the 1970s and 1980s, representing the Soviet Union at the international level. Belyayev trained at VSS Trud in Leningrad until 1981 and at Dynamo in the same city since then. He won the 15 km silver and the 4 × 10 km relay bronze at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, then followed it with a 4 × 10 km relay gold at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.
Vasily Pavlovich Rochev is a former Soviet/Russian cross-country skier who competed in the 1970s and early 1980s, training at Dynamo in Syktyvkar. He won two medals for the Soviet Union at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, with a gold in the 4 × 10 km relay and a silver in the 30 km.
Rita Nikolayevna Achkina is a retired Belarusian cross-country skier. In 1965 she won the 5 km, 10 km and 3 × 5 km relay events at the Soviet championships. Next year she earned two medals at the 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the 3 × 5 km relay and a bronze in the 5 km. She competed in these two events at the 1968 Winter Olympics and won a bronze medal in the relay, placing sixth individually. After retiring from competitions she worked as elementary school teacher.
Matti Raivio was a Finnish Cross-country skier who won the 30 km and 50 km events at the 1926 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. At the 1924 Winter Olympics he finished seventh in the 18 km and 50 km races. He abandoned the 50 km event at the 1928 Winter Olympics.
Nikolay Serafimovich Bazhukov is a Soviet/Russian cross-country skier who competed from 1976 to 1980. He won the 15 km gold and the 4 × 10 km relay bronze at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, then followed it with a 4 × 10 km relay gold at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York. Bazhukov trained at the Armed Forces sports society.
Natalya Martynova is a Russian cross-country skier who competed from 1994 to 1998. Her best World Cup finish was third in a 15 km event in Norway in 1994. She also competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 1994 Winter Olympics.
