Dalian University of Technology (DUT), colloquially known in Chinese as Dàgōng (大工), is a public research university located in Dalian and Panjin in Liaoning, China. Formerly called the Dalian Institute of Technology, DUT is renowned as one of the Big Four Institutes of Technology in China. It is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University, and one of the national key universities administered directly under the Ministry of Education.

The two schools merged on December 1, 2011 to form National Taichung University of Science and Technology.
