Well-preserved fishing village with 97 contributing properties built 1889–1944, reflecting the settlement of Manatee County, the Gulf Coast fishing industry, and vernacular architecture.[8]
County courthouse established in 1913—longstanding venue for civic events and the political, judicial, and economic administration of Manatee County.[14]
Three bungalows and a garage all built circa 1926, typifying the semi-rural subdivisions planned around central Florida's cities during the land boom of the 1920s.[17]

The Palmetto Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district, bounded by Twenty-first Avenue, Seventh Street, Fifth Avenue, and the Manatee River in Palmetto, Florida. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The district includes the Palmetto Historical Park and the various historical buildings and museums it contains. It also includes the 1930-built building of the Palmetto Women's Club, which was listed on the National Register earlier in 1986. And it includes the 1914-built Carnegie library whose construction was a major accomplishment of the 1900-founded women's club.
The Whitfield Estates–Lantana Avenue Historic District is a U.S. historic district in Whitfield Estates, north of Sarasota, Florida. It includes 332 through 356 Lantana Avenue, comprising four intact houses and two garages built 1925–1926. On March 8, 1997, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The district was listed for being Whitfield Estates' best surviving row illustrating the residential streetscape of the middle-class subdivisions that sprang up during the Florida land boom of the 1920s.
The Whitfield Estates–Broughton Street Historic District is a historic district in Sarasota, Florida, United States. It comprises 7207, 7211, 7215, 7219 and 7316 Broughton Street: five residences and three garages built in Mediterranean Revival style 1925–1929, including four early works by architect Ralph Twitchell. On October 29, 1993, the district was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It was listed for being the most intact concentration of early residences in the Whitfield Estates Subdivision, a major housing development established during the Florida land boom of the 1920s.
The Dixie Crystal Theatre is a historic site in Clewiston, Hendry County, Florida. It is located at 100 East Sugarland Highway. It first opened in 1941. In 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The American National Bank Building at 1330 Main Street in Sarasota, Florida, United States is a historic bank. It was also a Hotel and Retirement Home. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
The Woman's Club of Palmetto is a women's club and is also the name of its historic building in Palmetto, Florida. It is located at 910 Sixth Street West. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in March 1986.
St. Anthony Catholic School is a historic school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is located at 820 Northeast 3rd Street. Saint Anthony Catholic School is the parochial Catholic school of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Broward County. On September 26, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The school building was built in 1926 by John Olsson. The architect was Francis Abreu.

Reid-Woods House is a Mediterranean Revival-style house located at 373 Whitfield Avenue in the Whitfield Estates subdivision in the southern part of Manatee County, Florida. Built c. 1926, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
The Stevens–Gilchrist House, at 235 Delmar Avenue in Whitfield, Manatee County, Florida, is located in the Whitfield Estates Subdivision in the Sarasota metropolitan area, and was built in 1926. It has also been known as Norrie House. Although the Whitfield Estates Subdivision is in Manatee County, Florida, not in the city of Sarasota, Florida proper, residents use "Sarasota" as their mailing address and have associated themselves more with Sarasota, just to the south, rather than with Bradenton a bit further to the north.
