Navajo is a hilly community in the eastern part of San Diego, California. It is a designated planning area for the city of San Diego. [1] It includes the neighborhoods of Del Cerro, Grantville, San Carlos, and Allied Gardens.

The area encompasses approximately 14 square miles (36 km2). Its boundaries are Interstate 8 on the south, La Mesa on the southeast, El Cajon and Santee on the east, and the San Diego River on the north.

Navajo is known for its natural attractions such as Mission Trails Regional Park, Lake Murray, and the San Diego River. The community was named for Navajo Road, a major street that runs through the area.

The area is also served by the San Diego Trolley.

Otay Mesa West is a residential neighborhood in the southern section of San Diego. It borders Interstate 805 to the east, Interstate 5 to the west, and California State Route 905 to the south. It neighbors Ocean View Hills to the east, Nestor and Palm City to the west and Chula Vista to the north. The northern boundary of Otay Mesa West roughly coincides with the Otay River. The Tijuana River Valley is a rural community in the southern section of San Diego, California. Major thoroughfares include Hollister Street, Monument Road, and Dairy Mart Road.

Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District

The Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District (APTHD), San Diego's historic Chinatown, is an eight-block district adjacent to and in part overlapping with the Gaslamp Quarter Historic District. The APTHD is bounded by Market Street on the north, 2nd Ave. on the west, 6th Ave. on the east and J St. on the south. 22 structures are considered historically contributing.

Fairmount Park is a neighborhood of San Diego, California. Its borders are defined by Interstate 15 to the west, Interstate 805 to the east and California Highway 94 to the south. Its neighboring communities are South Park and Golden Hill to the west, Azalea Park and City Heights to the east, and Webster to the south.
