Bahawalpur is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is one of the ten largest cities of Pakistan and 6th most populous city of Punjab. Bahawalpur is the capital of Bahawalpur Division and is the 2nd largest cultural and commercial city of South Punjab.

It operates under Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan. The Academy is situated on Ferozepur Road in Lahore, Pakistan and is adjacent to District Jail Lahore.

The college operates under general command and control of the Government of the Punjab, Home Department, Lahore. It is situated near Central Jail Sahiwal and High Security Prison, Sahiwal.
The divisions of Punjab, are the first-order administrative bodies of the Punjab Province of Pakistan. In total, there are 11 divisions, which are further divided into districts ranging from three to six per division, depending upon area. Divisions are governed by Commissioners while districts are governed by Deputy Commissioners.
