He represented Banka in the Lok Sabha a few times. He was elected to Rajya Sabha twice. He died on 24 June 2010 in London after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

He is the founder and head of Gyan Bharti Model Residential Complex school in Hisua, Nawada. He often visits the school during Annual Day functions as chief guest. Jagat Prakash Nadda is an Indian lawyer and politician serving as the 11th president of the Bharatiya Janata Party since 2020 and the member of the Rajya Sabha representing Himachal Pradesh since 2012. He was the BJP's working president from 2019 to 2020. Nadda also served as the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the 1st Modi ministry from 2014 to 2019 and Parliamentary Board Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. Previously, he was a MLA from Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh from 2007 to 2012 and from 1993 to 2003 and the Minister of Forest, Environment, Science and Technology from 2007 to 2012 and the Ministry and the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs from 1998 to 2003 in the Himachal Pradesh Government.

Upendra Kumar Singh, who is commonly known as Upendra Kushwaha is an Indian politician, and a former Member of Bihar Legislative Council and Bihar Legislative Assembly. He has also served as Minister of State for Human Resources and Development in the Government of India. Kushwaha is a former Member of Parliament (MP) from the Karakat constituency in Rohtas district, Bihar, and a former member of the Rajya Sabha. He was the leader of Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (RLJD), his own party, which splited from Janata Dal (United) (JDU) in 2023. On 20 February 2023, Kushwaha resigned from all positions in Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party called Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal due to his political problems with JD(U) and Nitish Kumar.

Janardhan Singh Sigriwal is an Indian politician of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a member of the 17th Lok Sabha representing Maharajganj. Earlier He won Bihar assembly elections in 2000, Feb-2005, October 2005 from Jalalpur. He represented Chapra seat since 2010 in Bihar assembly. He was also Minister of Labour Resources. He was a sports and youth minister in Nitish Kumar cabinet.

Santosh Kumar is an Indian politician and Member of Parliament representing the Purnia constituency in Bihar. He was first elected in the 2014 Indian general election, having run as the Janata Dal (United) candidate in the constituency. In 2010 he was also elected as Member of Legislative assembly of the Baisi of Purnea district as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. One month before 2014 lok sabha election he joined JD(U) as he was nominated as the party candidate for Lok Sabha election for Purnea constituency.

Nawal Kishore Rai was a leader of Janata Dal (United) from Bihar. He served as member of the Lok Sabha representing Sitamarhi. He was elected to 10th, 11th and 13th Lok Sabha. He was married to Smt. Ram Dulari Rai and lived in Sitamarhi, Bihar, India.

Sahani is also owner of a company named 'Mukesh Cineworld Private Limited'.
