Neyestan (Persian : نيستان‎, also Romanized as Neyestān and Neyastān; also known as Negestūn)^[1] is a village in Fathabad Rural District, in the Central District of Khatam County, Yazd Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 47, in 13 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Fathabad Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Khatam County, Yazd Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 2,753, in 710 families. The rural district has 34 villages.
