Nirnaayakam is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written by Bobby–Sanjay and directed by V. K. Prakash. The film features Asif Ali and Prem Prakash in the lead roles and Nedumudi Venu, Malavika Mohanan, Tisca Chopra and Sanusha in supporting roles. It was produced jointly by Jose Simon and Rajesh George Under the banner Jairaj Films. The film was released on 5 June 2015.

Plot

Ajay is a student at National Defense Academy, Pune. Once he visited Kochi upon request from his ailing father Siddharth, a leading advocate. There, he gradually gets involved with a case. Ajay starts taking steps to help his father win the case involving a death of a woman named Arya, alleged to have taken place due to a government party's negligence. The film highlights the need for the government to change their attitude concerning human rights. [1]

The film started production in December 2014 and released on 6 June 2015 in 58 screens across Kerala. [2]

A critic from The Times of India rated the film three-and-a-half out of five stars and wrote that "The film is a mouthpiece to all those who have been silently suffering this issue for ages; definitely worth a watch". [3] [4]

It was the debut movie as scriptwriters of brothers Bobby and Sanjay. The film starred Kalidas Jayaram, Jayaram, and Jyothirmayi in lead roles along with Kalashala Babu, Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Salim Kumar, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Shammi Thilakan, Sanusha, and K. P. A. C. Lalitha in supporting roles. It was remade in Tamil as Kannadi Pookal. Kalidas won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in the film.

The script was co-written by Rajiv Vijay Raghavan, Anvar Ali and Dr. S P Ramesh. Cinematography was by Venu and the roles performed by Nedumudi Venu and Meera Krishna were also widely appreciated.

Joseph is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by M. Padmakumar and written by Shahi Kabir. Ente Manasaputhri was a 2007 Malayalam television soap opera telecast on Asianet TV from Monday to Friday at 7:00PM IST. It was a sequel to Punarjanmam, which aired on Surya TV and telecast 95 episodes. It is remarked as one of the top-rated TV series in Malayalam with a star cast.

Akashadoothu is 2011 Malayalam language Television drama produced by M.Renjith aired on Surya TV. It is a sequel to 1993 Indian Malayalam-language drama film Akashadoothu directed by Sibi Malayil.The film tells the tale of a widow suffering from leukemia, the series takes off exactly 16 years after we saw the children going their separate ways after the funeral of their mother.

The 39th Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best Malayalam films released in 2015, were announced in May 2016.
