Troms (pronounced [trʊms] or Romsa or Tromssa is a county in northern Norway. It borders Finnmark county to the northeast and Nordland county in the southwest. Norrbotten Län in Sweden is located to the south and further southeast is a shorter border with Lapland Province in Finland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea.
Tjeldsund is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Ofoten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Hol i Tjeldsund. Other important villages include Fjelldal, Myklebostad, and Ramsund. Norges Brannskole is situated in Fjelldal in the northeastern part of the municipality. Marinejegerkommandoen is based south of Ramsund.

Nidaros is a diocese in the Lutheran Church of Norway. It covers Trøndelag county in Central Norway and its cathedral city is Trondheim, which houses the well-known Nidaros Cathedral. The diocese is divided into 10 deaneries (prosti). Since 10 September 2017, the Bishop of Nidaros is Herborg Finnset who took over from the Bishop Tor Singsaas who retired. The Bishop Preses is also based at the Nidaros Cathedral and serves as the dean of the Nidaros domprosti (deanery) in Trondheim.

Hålogalandsallmenningen is the proposed name for the organization which is expected to manage about 50% of the land and inland water resources in the counties of Troms and Nordland in Norway. It expected that the members in the board of directors will be elected from the County Council of Troms, the County Council of Norland, and the Sami Parliament of Norway. A similar organization, the Finnmark Estate, is already established in the county of Finnmark.

Norway is commonly divided into five major geographical regions (landsdeler). These regions are purely geographical, and have no administrative purpose. However, in 2017 the government decided to abolish the current counties of Norway (fylker) and to replace them with fewer, larger administrative regions (regioner). The first of these new areas came into existence on 01 January 2018, when Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag merged to form Trøndelag.

Nord-Troms District Court is a district court located in the city of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. The court serves the part of the county located north of the Malangen fjord, plus the territory of Svalbard. This includes the municipalities of Tromsø, Karlsøy, Balsfjord, Storfjord, Gáivuotna – Kåfjord, Nordreisa, Skjervøy and Kvænangen. The court is subordinate to the Hålogaland Court of Appeal. The court is led by the chief judge Unni Sandbukt. This court employs a chief judge and nine other judges.
Vannvåg is a village in Karlsøy Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village is located along the Ullsfjorden on the southeastern shore of the island of Vanna. The Vannvåg School is the primary school for the eastern part of Vanna island. There is also a fish farm in the village. The harbour in Vannvåg is newly rebuilt in 2015.
