Odaruthammava Aalariyam (transl. Don't run, uncle, we know you) is a 1984 Indian Malayalam-language screwball comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and written by Sreenivasan from a story by Priyadarshan. It is about a middle aged family man who is a womanizer and about three college students and their efforts to woo the womanizer's daughter. Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Mukesh, Jagadish, and Shankar play the lead roles. [1] [2] [3] Odaruthammava Aalariyam was a commercial success at the box office. It was partially adapted from Sai Paranjpye's 1981 film Chashme Buddoor, and partially from K. Balachander's 1983 film Poikkal Kudhirai .

Gopan, Kora and Bhakthavalsalan are three college students who share the same house, along with Preman, another classmate. While the trio is more interested in spending their time by flirting with girls, Preman is more serious in his attitude towards life. On a usual encounter, the trio meets Major Nair, a retired man in his fifties, who loves romancing young girls.
After a series of ego clashes, Nair learns that the trio is trying to woo his daughter Minu. Nair, enraged, challenges them to make his daughter fall for them. Accepting the challenge, the trio start to make her fell for them. Minu, who seriously shows concern towards disabled people, falls in love with Preman, whom she thinks to be disabled. Meanwhile, Nair bets with Govind, another street romeo, who is married to a beautiful innocent girl. Govind says that would shave his head if Minu falls in love with anyone within 3 months.Nair agrees that he would shave his mustache to half if he loses the bet.
Minu learns that Preman is not disabled, but she still goes on with the relationship. Gopan enters Nair's home as a servant and enjoys easy access to Minu's room. Kora arrives at Nair's house as a disciple of his brother-in-law, a wrestler. Bhakthavalsalan claims himself to be a Hindi scholar Bhaktha Khanna, and says he is the nephew of popular Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna and gets appointed as Minu's Hindi tuition master. Govind, in the meantime, arrives in front of Minu as a blind man, for whom she feels sympathetic and brings home. Major Nair is shocked to find all four at his home, but is unable to open up the secrets as he fears blackmailing with a photograph taken by them while Nair was attending a cabaret show.
Eventually, Nair succeeds in chasing everyone out of his house. The trio is shocked to find Minu is in love with Preman and now put all their energy to break them apart. Upon learning that their love is sincere, the trio along with Govind helps Preman to marry Minu. The film ends with Preman marrying Minu and Major Nair losing his bet and having his mustache half-shaved.
The film was extensively shot at Jawahar Nagar in Tiruvananthapuram. [4]
The music was composed by M. G. Radhakrishnan with lyrics by Chunakkara Ramankutty.

Sreenivasan is an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, dubbing artist and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Sreenivasan has starred in over 225 films. The film is very loosely based on the 1975 movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which was an adaptation of the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey. The film tells the story of contractor C. Pavithran who has obtained a road contract. This film was a critical and commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of the year. It ran for over 200 days in theatres. Priyadarshan later remade the film in Hindi as Khatta Meeta, released in 2010.
Akkareyakkareyakkare, also known Akkare Akkare Akkare is a 1990 Indian Malayalam-language buddy cop comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and written by Sreenivasan. It stars Mohanlal, Sreenivasan, M. G. Soman, Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, Parvathy and Nedumudi Venu in major roles. It is a sequel to 1987's Nadodikkattu and 1988s Pattanapravesham; Mohanlal and Sreenivasan reprises their roles. However, Thilakan, Mamukkoya and Innocent, who have appeared in the previous films, do not appear in this film. Also, a new cast of Nedumudi Venu, Sukumari, Parvathy Jayaram, Jagadish,Mukesh and Maniyanpilla Raju appears. M. G. Soman plays a character role, having appeared as himself in Nadodikkattu. The story follows C.I.Ds Dasan and Vijayan on an investigation for a gold crown stolen to the United States.
Kakkakuyil (transl. Crow-Koel) is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language heist comedy film written and directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Lissy. It stars Mohanlal and Mukesh. The film features songs composed by Deepan Chatterji and background score by S. P. Venkatesh. Kakkakuyil was released on 14 April 2001. It was remade in Telugu as Tappu Chesi Pappu Koodu (2002) and in Tamil as London (2005). The plot of the movie is based on the 1988 English movie A Fish Called Wanda with the sub plot of the two lead actors seeking shelter in the house of old blind couple as a single person borrowed from the Marathi play Ghar Ghar.

In Ghost House Inn is a 2010 Indian Malayalam-language horror comedy film written, directed, and co-produced by Lal. Starring Mukesh, Siddique, Jagadish, Ashokan and Nedumudi Venu in the lead roles, the film is a sequel to 2 Harihar Nagar (2009) and In Harihar Nagar (1990). In the film, Thomas Kutty buys a haunted bungalow and convinces his friends to stay with him on the first night. Mutharamkunnu P.O. is a 1985 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy film directed by Sibi Malayil from a screenplay by Sreenivasan based on a story by Jagadish. It stars Mukesh, Lizy, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan and Jagadish. The plot tells the story of a newly arrived postmaster in a village where people uplift the sport of gatta gusthi (wrestling), he falls in love with the daughter of a retired wrestler who challenges him for a duel with a reigning champion Dara Singh. The film was remade in Hindi as Kushti (2010). Despite being an average grosser at box office the film received positive critical reception. Over the years, the film has accumulated a cult following and huge fan base.
Teja Bhai and Family is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Deepu Karunakaran, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Akhila Sasidharan in the lead roles. Dasan and Vijayan are the protagonists of the Nadodikkattu trilogy. The comical characters were created by directors Siddique–Lal and are portrayed by Mohanlal (Dasan) and Sreenivasan (Vijayan). They first appeared as unemployed workers, later becoming detectives by profession working in the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Tamil Nadu Police, India. The characters first appeared in the 1987 black comedy film Nadodikkattu and later in its sequels Pattanapravesham (1988), and Akkare Akkare Akkare (1990).
