Light Years is the seventh studio album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue. It was released on 25 September 2000 by Parlophone. The album's style was indicative of her return to "mainstream pop and dance tunes". It received favourable reviews from music critics, with some appreciating her fresh new pop roots and electronic music. Two weeks after debuting at number two on the Australian Albums Chart, the album reached the top position, making it Minogue's first number-one album in her native Australia. It was later certified four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). Minogue promoted the album with television performances and interviews. It was further promoted with the On a Night Like This Tour, which visited Europe and Australia.
Rhythm of Love is the third studio album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, released on 12 November 1990 by PWL. It was recorded in the spring and summer of 1990 in London and Los Angeles. In contrast to her previous studio albums, Stock Aitken Waterman were the primary producers of the album, but featured new producers and collaborations including Keith Cohen, Stephen Bray and Michael Jay. At the age of twenty-two at the time, Minogue started to become independently more involved in the process of creating and arranging the project compared to her two previous efforts, resulting in the album directing her to a new path in her music career, with a more sexual image and a more dance-influenced sound. X is the tenth studio album by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was released on 21 November 2007 by Parlophone. It is her first release since the greatest hits compilation Ultimate Kylie (2004), and her first studio album since Body Language (2003). Work on the album began following Minogue's gradual recovery from breast cancer and subsequent radiotherapy treatment. Her cancer, which was diagnosed in May 2005, resulted in the postponement of Showgirl: The Greatest Hits Tour midway through its run. Minogue resumed the tour in late 2006, in the midst of recording X, and was completed later in the following year. The album introduced new American and European producers including Bloodshy & Avant, Guy Chambers, Calvin Harris and Freemasons. The album and subsequent remix album, Boombox would be Minogue's last release to be distributed through Mushroom Records in Australia until Golden, over a decade later.
The Abbey Road Sessions is an orchestral compilation album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, released on 24 October 2012 by Parlophone. The album was primarily produced by Steve Anderson and Colin Elliot. The album features sixteen tracks, all radically reworked, spanning Minogue's 25 years in the music industry. The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with Minogue's band and a full orchestra during November 2011. Musically, the album is primarily orchestral music, which features several instrumentation of guitars, pianos, strings and drums.
