Open is the third studio album by the progressive rock band Stick Men. The members for this release were Pat Mastelotto, Tony Levin and Markus Reuter. It was released 1 June 2012. [2] It's the group's first all-instrumental release, built around group improvisations instead of pre-composed pieces.
Stick Men is a progressive rock band founded in 2007 by Pat Mastelotto, Tony Levin, and Michael Bernier. Since 2010, the lineup stabilized around Mastelotto, Levin, and Markus Reuter. The band was formed as a vehicle for progressive rock music performed almost exclusively with Chapman Sticks and drums.
Patrick Lee Mastelotto is an American rock drummer and record producer who has worked most notably with Mr. Mister and King Crimson, among many others.
Anthony Frederick Levin is an American musician and composer, specializing in electric bass, Chapman Stick and upright bass. He also sings and plays synthesizer. Levin is best known for his work with King Crimson and Peter Gabriel. He was also a member of Liquid Tension Experiment, Bruford Levin Upper Extremities, ProjeKct One, and ProjeKct Four. He has led his own band, Stick Men.
Markus Reuter is a German multi-disciplinary musician, composer, record producer and instrument designer.
