The Owl Tower (アウルタワー) is a residential building in the Toshima special ward of Tokyo, Japan. Completed in January 2011, it stands at 189.2 m (621 ft) tall, with the top floor located at 182.8 m (600 ft). It is the 38th tallest building in Tokyo and the 55th tallest building in Japan.
The Owl Tower was constructed as a response to the issues regarding the utilization of already existing buildings, namely to specialize skyscrapers in the area, make use of available land effectively, prevent a mixed-use of buildings, and also to encourage people to live in the Ikebukuro district.Its name references the mascot of the district. The Owl Tower is located near the Air Rise Tower, and close to the Higashi-Ikebukuro Station, to which it is directly connected by an underground promenade, and the Sunshine City complex with the Sunshine 60 skyscraper, the tallest building in Tokyo from 1978 to 1991.
The skyscraper was built on a lot with an area of 5,801.39 square metres (62,445.6 sq ft), 2,938.03 square metres (31,624.7 sq ft) of which is occupied by the building itself. Reinforced concrete, steel, and glass was used during its construction, which costed approximately 30 billion yen. The building was designed and constructed by the Taisei Corporation. The city planning decision to built the Owl Tower was made in May 2004, and the planning permission was given in January 2006. The construction began in October 2007, and was completed in January 2011. In late March of the same year, the building was ready to be moved in.
Although the Owl Tower is mainly a residential building, some storeys are meant for office or commercial use. Stores are located in the 1st basement and on the 1st floor, while offices can be found from the 2nd to the 6th floor. Apartments are situated on the remaining floors, up to the 52nd. 79,200 square metres (853,000 sq ft). There are approximately 608 units, 473 of which are for residential purposes, and 135 of which are for non-residential purposes, with the rest of the rooms including a theater room, a fitness room, and a sky lounge, among others. 344 parking spaces are contained within the Owl Tower.There are 11 elevators in the skyscraper. Sunshine 60 was also the tallest building in Tokyo and Japan until the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building was completed in 1991, and housed the world's fastest elevators until the opening of the Yokohama Landmark Tower in 1993; Mitsubishi Electric installed the elevators at the former's highest-rise bankas well as the latter, and Mitsubishi Estate owns both buildings.

Sunshine City consists of four buildings: Sunshine 60, the main and tallest building, which includes corporate offices as well as restaurants; the Prince Hotel; the World Import Mart; and the Bunka Kaikan building. The complex sits on land that was once occupied by Sugamo Prison.

The Nishi-Shinjuku 3-Chōme Redevelopment (西新宿三丁目西地区市街地再開発) is a large proposed redevelopment project in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The proposal includes a 77-story office tower, two 66-floor and one 50 floor residential towers. The 77-story office tower, called East Office Tower (東オフィス棟), is set to rise 338 metres (1,109 ft) and become Japan's tallest building, taking the title away from the Abeno Harukas in Osaka. The office tower would also become Japan's first supertall skyscraper over 300 metres (984 ft). Two identical 66-floor residential towers, called North Residential Tower (北住宅棟) and South Residential Tower (南住宅棟) will rise 245 metres (804 ft). The third and shortest residential building, West Residential Tower (西住宅棟), will rise 190 metres (623 ft) and contain 50 residential floors. The entire complex was slated for completion in 2010, but as of 2010, plans for the complex were still on hold for unannounced reasons.

The developers of the district are the Katz Group and the ONE Development Group. On July 13, 2015, it was announced that the area of the city surrounding the arena from 101 and 104 Street to 103 and 106 Avenue would be referred to as "Ice District" – a name created by Daryl Katz.

The Toronamon-Azabudai District is a complex of three skyscrapers under construction in Tokyo, Japan. Upon completion, the complex will contain the tallest building in Tokyo and in Japan. Construction of the complex began in 2019, and is expected to be completed in 2023. The complex, designed by the architectural firm Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, is being developed by the Mori Building Company. It is estimated that the project will cost about 580 billion yen.
