Pakistan experienced unprecedented economic growth during FY 2004. Its large-scale manufacturing sector grew at a rate of over 18%. Hard-currency reserves, having grown phenomenally in recent years, reached record levels. GDP growth reached 8.4% in the twelve months ending June 30, 2004. Pakistan's stock market has been one of the best-performing stock markets this century, as of 2005. The government's credit rating was upgraded by Moody's and Standard & Poor's. Pakistan announced that it no longer needed International Monetary Fund (IMF) assistance. The government's economic reforms were praised highly by supranational institutions such as the World Bank, IMF and the Asian Development Bank.
Pak Telecom Mobile Limited or Ufone is a Pakistani GSM cellular service provider. It was the third mobile operator to enter Pakistani market. It started its operations under the brand name of Ufone, in Islamabad on January 29, 2001.

Pakistan Post operates under the autonomous "Postal Services Management Board" to deliver a full range of delivery, logistics and fulfillment services to customers. In addition to its traditional role, Pakistan Post also offers services such as Postal Life Insurance and Pakistan Post Savings Bank. It also operates services on behalf of the federal and provincial governments, by acting as a collection point for tax and utility bills.
Valancia is a housing estate located within union council 144 (Haloke) in the administrative town of Nishtar of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Conceived by Manzoor Ahmed, Valancia was first planned in the 1990s and construction began by PECHS through funding from Mashreq Bank. The 2000 property boom in Lahore helped populate Valancia. The housing estate is known for its well-landscaped boulevards connecting a balanced mix of single-family detached homes, community and shopping centres. Valancia covers an area of about 1,000 acres (4.0 km2).

PTCL Smart TV is an Internet Protocol TV service in Pakistan owned by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL). It entered the Pay TV industry on 14 August 2008, by launching a Digital Interactive Television service for the first time in Pakistan.
