Paju Frontier FC (Korean : 파주 프런티어 FC), formerly Paju Citizen Football Club (Korean : 파주 시민 축구단) is a South Korean professional football club based in the city of Paju. The club was founded in 2012 and play in K League 2, the second tier of football in South Korea.

History

Paju Citizen were founded in 16 February 2012.

In the 2020 season, Paju Citizen were promoted to K3 as champions of the first edition of the fourth division K4 League. [1]

In 2022, Paju Citizen were good performance and finished runner-up in K3 League.

On 11 August 2025, Paju Citizen are switching from semi-pro to professional league in K League 2 from 2026 season after approve of 4th K League Board meeting. On 22 October 2025, Gerard Nus announce official manager of Paju FC from 2026 season participating in K League 2 marking return to South Korea after 14 years.

On 10 November 2025, Paju Citizen announce official change name to Paju Frontier from 2026 season due to participate in K League 2.

On 16 January 2026, Paju Frontier announce official confirmation participate in K League 2 after final approval membership in the K League. On 18 January 2026, Paju Frontier announce official first match in K League 2 against Chungnam Asan at Yi Sun-sin Stadium in away games and first home game against Suwon Samsung Bluewings at Paju Stadium.

On 24 November 2025, Paju Frontier announce official new logo and colour is Frontier Blue and Cosmos Pink for K League 2.

Facilities

Paju Citizen will play in Paju Stadium.

The club plans to take over the Paju National Football Center, the previous training ground of the South Korea national football team. [2]
