Pakila (Swedish : Baggböle) is a neighbourhood in Northern Helsinki, about nine kilometers from the city center. It comprises Länsi-Pakila ("West Pakila") and Itä-Pakila ("East Pakila"). Pakila has approximately 10 275 inhabitants. [1]

In Pakila the average size of the apartments is the second largest in Helsinki, 98 m2. [1]

Since the 1970s, the largest party in Pakila has been the National Coalition. [2] The National Coalition Party was the most popular party in Pakila in the 2012 municipal elections (50% support) [1] and in the 2015 parliamentary elections (44% support). [3]

Pakila is home to many celebrities, such as Antero Vartia, [4] Arto Bryggare, [5] Erkki Junkkarinen, [6] [7] Jimi Constantine, [8] Kari Hotakainen, [9] Martti Larni, [10] Oskari Mörö, [11] Samuli Laiho, [12] and Signmark. [13]

Allas Sea Pool is a marine spa and lido in Katajanokka, Helsinki, Finland. It was opened on 1 September 2016 on the site of the former Kanavaterminaali building. The spa has three pools built on top of the sea: a children's pool, a warm pool and a seawater pool, as well as a sauna and a café. The main building of Allas Sea Pool was completed in spring 2017. The building has a roof terrace spanning its entire roof. With 1,500 places, Allas Sea Pool is the largest terrace in Helsinki.
