Pambar is the name of three rivers in South India:

Pambar is a tributary of the Thenpennai River of Tamil Nadu. This is formed by the rainwater of the forests around Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. It comes and joins the Othikuppam Lake in Mathur Municipality area. This lake is about 50 acres in size. From this lake the river flows through Bargur, Mathur, Uthangarai areas. Then it reaches the Pambar Reservoir near Marampatti in Uthangarai Taluk of Krishnagiri District.

Pambar River, also called Sarpanadi, is a river which flows through the Sivaganga, Pudukkottai and Ramanathapuram districts of Tamil Nadu, India. It originates at Perunganur in Pudukkottai district and flows for about 50 kilometres (31 mi) before joining the Bay of Bengal at Puttukidapatnam. It joins the Tennar at Tevarendal and Virusuliar at Kidangur. The holy town of Thiruppunavayil or Thiruppunavasal is along its banks. The Pambar formed the official boundary between the Thanjavur Maratha and Ramnad kingdoms from 1725 to 1799. Currently, it forms Pudukkottai district's boundary with Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram districts.

The Palani Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is a proposed protected area in Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu India. The park will be an upgrade and expansion of the 736.87 km2 (PRO) Palani (Kodaikanal) Wildlife Sanctuary which was to be established in 2008. The park includes about 36% of the 2,068 square kilometres (798 sq mi) in the Palani Hills. The park is located between latitude 10°7' - 10°28' N and longitude 77°16' - 77°46' E. Central location is 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) east northeast of Silver Cascade Waterfall and 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) E X NE of Kodaikanal Lake.

The Amaravathi Dam is a dam constructed across the Amaravathi River. It is located at Amaravathinagar, 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Udumalpet on SH 17 in the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary, Tirupur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The associated Amaravathi Reservoir is 9.31 square kilometres (3.59 sq mi) in area and 33.53 metres (110.0 ft) deep. The dam was built primarily for irrigation and flood control and now also has four megawatts of electrical generating capacity installed. It is notable for the significant population of mugger crocodiles living in its reservoir and catchment basin.

The 18 km long Chinnar river defines the East-West Tamil Nadu/Kerala state boundary along the northern edge of the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and the southern edge of the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary. Several adult Crocodiles were reported in the Chinnar river in 1992.
