Kedron (Kedronos) of Alexandria, fourth Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. When the priest and Bishops who served in the country learned that the Bishop Avilius, Patriarch of Alexandria had died, they grieved greatly and they gathered in Alexandria to consult with the Christian people there, and they cast the ballot to find out who deserved to sit on the Throne of Alexandria. They all agreed, with the confirmation of God, to elect a righteous man named Kedronos. It was said that he was among those who had been baptized by Saint Mark, and he was enthroned Patriarch in Babab (October), in 96 AD, during the reign of the Roman Emperor Trajan.
Pope Primus (Aprimos), fifth Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. He was baptized by St. Mark the Evangelist. He was one of the three who were ordained priests by St. Mark, along with Bishop Anianus, the Second Patriarch. Pope Primus was ascetic, pious, and filled with good deeds. He was ordained to the apostolic chair on the 22nd day of Paoni. During his papacy, the church was in peace and tranquility. He is commemorated in the Coptic Synaxarion on the 3rd day of Mesra, in the fifth year of the reign of Hadrian the prince.
Pope Achillas of Alexandria, 18th Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark (Archileus), was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and was renowned for his knowledge and piety; this was why Pope Theonas had ordained him priest and appointed him head of the Catechetical School of Alexandria upon the departure of Pierius. He was apparently very highly thought of for his work in Greek philosophy and theological science, as Pope Athanasius the Apostolic later described him by the honorific "Achillas the Great".

Pope John XVIII of Alexandria , 107th Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. Pope John XVIII was born in Fayoum, Egypt. His lay name was Joseph. He became a monk in the Monastery of Saint Anthony. At the departure of Pope Mark VII, he was unanimously chosen to succeed him. He was ordained at the church of Saint Mercurius Church in Coptic Cairo, on Sunday, 15 Paopi, 1486 A.M.
