These are the list of the party-list groups (and their nominees) who are qualified for the 2016 Philippine House of Representatives elections.
139 party-list groups were part of the "initial list" of candidates for the 2016 elections, released by the Commission of Elections on January 22, 2016. [1] The party-list slots were drawn via electronic raffle. [2] It only trimmed down to 115 after the COMELEC released the final list of party-list groups that would be included in the printed ballots. [3]
The list of the partylist and their nominees are available online on the COMELEC's website. [4]

A general election was held in the Philippines on May 13, 2013. It was a midterm election—the officials elected will be sworn in on June 30, 2013, midway through President Benigno Aquino III's term of office.
The National Youth Commission, also known as the NYC, is a government agency in the Philippines that specifically addresses issues surrounding the Filipino youth. It was founded on June 30, 1995, via Republic Act 8044 or the "Youth in Nation-Building Act of 1995".
The 2013 election of members to the Senate of the Philippines was the 31st election to the Senate of the Philippines. It was held on Monday, May 13, 2013 to elect 12 of the 24 seats in the Senate. Together with those elected in 2010, the candidates elected in this election shall comprise the 16th Congress. The senators elected in 2010 will serve until June 30, 2016, while the senators elected in this election will serve up to June 30, 2019. The elections to the House of Representatives as well as local elections occurred on the same date. The Philippines use plurality-at-large voting for seats in the Senate: the twelve candidates with the highest number of votes win the twelve seats up for election. The Senate seat vacated by President Benigno Aquino III in 2010 was among the twelve seats to be put for election.
The 2016 Philippine presidential and vice presidential elections were held on Monday, May 9, 2016, as part of the 2016 general election. This was the 16th presidential election in the Philippines since 1935 and the sixth sextennial presidential election since 1986.
Local elections was held in Manila on May 13, 2013, within the Philippine general election. The voters elected for the elective local posts in the city: the mayor, vice mayor, the six congressmen, and the councilors, six in each of the city's six legislative districts.
The 2016 election of members to the Senate of the Philippines was the 32nd election of members to the Senate of the Philippines. The seats of 12 senators elected in 2010 were filled during this election. The winners in this election joined the winners of the 2013 election to form the 17th Congress of the Philippines. The senators elected in 2013 served until June 30, 2019, while the senators elected in this election would serve up to June 30, 2022.
A general election in the Philippines took place on May 9, 2016, for executive and legislative branches for all levels of government – national, provincial, and local, except for the barangay officials.
Barangay elections in the Philippines were held on May 14, 2018. The election shall elect the Punong Barangay, more commonly known as barangay captains, and members of the Sangguniang Barangay, or barangay council, in 41,948 barangays (villages) throughout the country whose terms start on June 30, 2018. Barangays are the smallest local government unit in the Philippines.
Roy Villareal Señeres was a Filipino statesman and diplomat who initially ran in the 2016 Philippine presidential election under the Partido ng Manggagawa at Magsasaka party before withdrawing on February 5, 2016, three days before his death. Señeres was elected as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives representing the OFW Family Club party-list in the 2013 general elections. He is the father of former congressman Christian Señeres.
The 2019 election of members to the Senate of the Philippines was the 33rd election of members to the Senate of the Philippines for a six-year term. It was held on May 13, 2019.
The 2016 presidential campaign of Rodrigo Duterte was announced on November 21, 2015. Rodrigo Duterte, who was then serving as Mayor of Davao City, had refused to run and turned down other presidential and vice-presidential aspirants' offers to be his running mate, including that of Jejomar Binay, Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Bongbong Marcos. He was eventually elected President of the Philippines. Duterte's positions resonated with older, working class Filipinos. This was particularly true regarding his promise to eliminate the wide-scale drug menace of the country, his record of zero criminal tolerance in Davao City, which he served for more than 22 years, as well as his stronger position against corruption. Duterte's campaign reached out to Filipinos who had been suffering poverty, were strongly nationalistic, and had growing distrust of Western institutions as well as the political establishment in Manila that were supposedly controlled by the elites and oligarchs. In his campaign, Duterte accused political elites of not doing much to solve problems in a move that was described as populist.
Kabataan Party-list, formerly Ang Nagkakaisang Kabataan Para sa Sambayanan is a party list in the Philippines affiliated with the leftist political party Makabayan. It represents the interests of the youth sector in the Philippine Congress and is composed of different youth groups all over the country. It aims to "galvanize the Filipino youth’s unity for social change," believing that the youth should "devote its intellect, energy, and courage to building a new society devoid of corruption, inequality, and social injustice." It first vied for seats during the 2004 Philippine general election but failed to win any seats. Since 2007, however, Kabataan Party-list has managed to secure one seat in Congress. Its current representative is Sarah Elago, who is also the youngest Representative in Congress.
Elections were held for seats reserved for the party-list representation in the House of Representatives of the Philippines on May 9, 2016. At most 20% of the seats in the House of Representatives of the Philippines are reserved for party-list representatives. The election was via the party-list system, with a 2% "soft" election threshold via the Hare quota, except that no party can win more than 3 seats, and if the seats won do not reach the 20% of the seats of the entire House of Representatives, the parties that have yet to win seats will get a seat each until the 20% reserved for party-lists have been filled up.
The Duterte Youth, officially the Duty to Energize the Republic through the Enlightenment of the Youth Sectoral Party-list Organization, is a right-wing youth organization which supports the administration of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. They also campaigned to win a seat in the House of Representatives through party-list representation in the 2019 elections where they secured a single seat. However the group was subject of a controversy due to its nominees including Ronald Cardema not being part of the youth sector themselves.
The 2022 Philippine presidential and vice-presidential elections is scheduled to be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, as part of that year's general election. This will be the 17th direct presidential election and 16th vice presidential election in the Philippines since 1935, and the seventh sextennial presidential and vice presidential election since 1986.

Coalition of Associations of Senior Citizens in the Philippines, Inc., commonly known as Senior Citizens Partylist, is a political party in the Philippines representing the interests of the elderly, otherwise known as "senior citizens" in the Philippines and the United States, and as "pensioners" elsewhere.
