Pavel Bělobrádek (Czech pronunciation: [ˈpavɛl ˈbjɛlobraːdɛk] ;born 25 December 1976) is a Czech politician who was the Leader of the KDU-ČSL from 2010 to 2019.
He served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Research in Bohuslav Sobotka's Cabinet 29 January 2014 to 13 December 2017.

KDU-ČSL,often shortened to lidovci is a Christian-democratic political party in the Czech Republic. The party has taken part in almost every Czech government since 1990. In the June 2006 legislative election,the party won 7.2% of the vote and 13 out of 200 seats;but in the 2010 election,its vote share dropped to 4.4% and they lost all of its seats. The party regained its parliamentary standing in the 2013 legislative election,winning 14 seats in the new parliament,thereby becoming the first party ever to return to the Chamber of Deputies after previously dropping out.

Vlastimil Picek is a Czech politician. He served as the Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic from March 2012 to January 2013. The March for Life is an annual anti-abortion demonstration held in Prague in late March,close to the International Day of the Unborn Child. The first march was held in 2001. It is organized by Hnutípro život of the Czech Republic. The participants usually carry white crosses symbolizing the victims of abortion. The event is supported by the Latin and Eastern Catholic churches. The march is usually opened by a Mass celebrated by Dominik Duka,Cardinal-Archbishop of Prague. Politicians such as Pavel Bělobrádek (KDU-ČSL),Jitka Chalánková,Eva Richtrová(ČSSD) and Jaroslav Plachý(ODS) have attended the march in the past. The march leads to the Wenceslas Square and ends at the Saint Wenceslas statue.

All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies were elected and Andrej Babišof ANO 2011,also the leader of the resultant government,became the Prime Minister. The coalition government following the 2013 legislative election consisted of the two largest parties:the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) of Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka,and ANO 2011 (ANO),led by former Finance Minister and businessman Andrej Babiš,alongside the Christian and Democratic Union –Czechoslovak People's Party (KDU–ČSL). He received 227 votes of 270 delegates. His rival JiříČunek received 43 votes. Čunek announced his candidature on the day of the election. His candidature was speculated for months prior the election.
Presidential elections will be held in the Czech Republic no later than January 2023. The incumbent president MilošZeman is not eligible to run for another term,and the election will most likely be direct. There has been speculation that Zeman will not finish his second term.

A leadership election for KDU-ČSL was held on 25 January 2020 following the resignation of the incumbent leader of the party Marek Výborný. MP Jan Bartošek,MP Marian Jurečka and MEP TomášZdechovskýannounced were running to replace Výborný. Zdechovskýwithdrew from the race,and Jurečka then beat Bartošek,receiving 205 votes.
