Elections were held in the Regional Municipality of Peel of Ontario on October 25, 2010 in conjunction with municipal elections across the province.
The Regional Municipality of Peel is a regional municipality in Southern Ontario, Canada. It consists of three municipalities to the west and northwest of Toronto: the cities of Brampton and Mississauga, and the town of Caledon. The entire region is part of the Greater Toronto Area and the inner ring of Golden Horseshoe. The regional seat is in Brampton.
Ontario is one of the 13 provinces and territories of Canada and is located in east-central Canada. It is Canada's most populous province accounting for 38.3 percent of the country's population, and is the second-largest province in total area. Ontario is fourth-largest jurisdiction in total area when the territories of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are included. It is home to the nation's capital city, Ottawa, and the nation's most populous city, Toronto, which is also Ontario's provincial capital.

It consists of an amalgamation of a number of urban areas, villages, and hamlets; its major urban centre is Bolton on its eastern side adjacent to York Region.

California's 4th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. Tom McClintock, a Republican, has represented the district since January 2009. Currently, the 4th district encompasses the Sierra from Truckee to the Sequoia National Forest. It consists of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Mariposa, and Tuolumne counties plus portions of Fresno, Madera, Nevada, and Placer counties. Prior to redistricting by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission of 2011, the 4th district encompassed the northeast corner of the state, stretching from the eastern suburbs of Sacramento north to the Oregon border. Dufferin—Caledon is a provincial electoral district in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It was created for the 2007 provincial election. The entire riding was carved from Dufferin—Peel—Wellington—Grey, and includes all of Dufferin County plus the town of Caledon in Peel Region.
Sylvia Jones is a politician from Ontario, Canada. She was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2007 provincial election, representing the riding of Dufferin—Caledon as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.
Instant-runoff voting (IRV) is used for state and congressional elections in Maine and for local elections in 11 cities, where it is often called "ranked-choice voting."
