Sammy Fain was an American composer of popular music. In the 1920s and early 1930s, he contributed numerous songs that form part of The Great American Songbook, and to Broadway theatre. Fain was also a popular musician and vocalist.

Scamp is a canine Disney comics character, the son of Lady and Tramp, all of whom appear in the 1955 animated film Lady and the Tramp. Scamp is featured in comic strips and comic books of his own since the 1950s. In the final scene of the film, the dogs have a litter of puppies, including three girl pups who look like Lady, and a mischievous, restless boy pup who resembles Tramp. The puppies are unnamed in the film and only appear in one scene, but the little boy puppy made an impression, and King Features Syndicate launched a comic strip a few months after the film's release.

The film's sets were designed by the art director Ludwig Reiber. It was shot at the Bavaria Studios in Munich and on location in Venice and Zwiesel. It was made in Eastmancolor.

Silence in the Forest is a 1955 West German drama film directed by Helmut Weiss and starring Rudolf Lenz, Sonja Sutter and Angelika Hauff. It was shot at the Bavaria Studios in Munich and on location around the city including the Hintersee and Sella Pass. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Carl Ludwig Kirmse and Willi Horn. It is based on the 1899 novel of the same title by Ludwig Ganghofer which has been made into films on a number of occasions including a previous 1937 film adaptation.
August Rieger (1914–1984) was an Austrian screenwriter and film director. He worked in the Austrian and later the West German film industry.
