Rolf Peter Ingvar Stormare (born Storm, August 27, 1952), better known as Peter Stormare (Swedish: [ˈpěːtɛrˈstɔ̂rːmarɛ] ⓘ ), is a Swedish actor. He played Gaear Grimsrud in the film Fargo (1996) and John Abruzzi in the television series Prison Break (2005–2007). He has appeared in films including The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Playing God (1997), The Big Lebowski (1998), Armageddon (1998), 8mm (1999), Dancer in the Dark (2000), Windtalkers (2002), Minority Report (2002), Bad Boys II (2003), Constantine (2005), and 22 Jump Street (2014), and the video games Destiny (2014), Until Dawn (2015), and Destiny 2 (2017).
Stormare [1] was born in Kumla, Sweden on August 27, 1953. [2] His family moved to Arbrå.[ when? ] He attended the Royal Dramatic Theatre [3] in Stockholm, where he studied acting. He changed his surname when he discovered he shared it with a senior student at acting academy. Before settling on Stormare, he briefly contemplated changing his name to Retep Mrots, which is "Peter Storm" backwards. [4] Stormare means "stormer" in Swedish.
Stormare voiced Mattias Nilsson in the video games Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames , Isair in the video game Icewind Dale 2 , and Johann Strauss in Quake 4 . In February 2006, he starred as Wolfgang in Volkswagen's VDub series of television commercials. He played the main character in the film Svartvattnet, which was filmed in Sweden and Norway in 2007. [5] He was offered a role in the ABC television series Lost for a period of one year, [6] which he declined. [7] In the 2007 film Premonition , he played Dr. Roth. In April 2007, he appeared in the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode "Ending Happy".
In 2011, he appeared alongside Kevin Spacey and Daniel Wu in the Chinese film Inseparable, which premiered at the 2011 Busan International Film Festival.
In 2014, he appeared in episodes of Longmire , Arrow , and The Blacklist , and starred in the Eli Roth-produced film Clown . [8]
In 2015, he voiced and motion-captured Dr. Alan J. Hill in the video game Until Dawn . In 2016, he played Rutger Burlin in the Swedish television series Midnattssol ; he also co-created, and starred as Ingmar in, the web television series Swedish Dicks , which was renewed for a second season in October 2016. [9] In 2017, he played a minor role in John Wick: Chapter 2 and the part of Czernobog on the Starz series American Gods . He played the vampire Godbrand in the Netflix animated series Castlevania . In 2019 he appeared in the music video of the song "Graven" by the U.S. death metal band Possessed.[ citation needed ]
After Bono of U2 heard some of Stormare's music, he encouraged Stormare to make an album. In 2002, Stormare released his first album, Dallerpölsa och småfåglar. He plays in a band called Blonde from Fargo and runs a record label called StormVox. [10]
He appeared in the music video of the song "Uprising" by the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. [11]
He appeared in the clips "Steh Auf" and "Frau & Mann" of metal project Lindemann. [12] [13] [14]
Stormare divides his time between the United States and Sweden. [15] He married actress Karen Sillas in 1989, and they divorced in 2006. He married Toshimi Murakami, a native of Japan, in 2008. [15] Their daughter Kaiya Bella Luna Stormare was born on May 9, 2009. [16] They live in Los Angeles. [17]
Peter Stormare is the godfather of actor Gustaf Skarsgård.[ citation needed ]
Stormare is a Christian and has said that he has had contact with God. [15] [18] When he was young, he participated in Baptist meetings in Arbrå. [18] [19] He has a strong spiritual side, inherited from his mother, who he has said was a medium, and who supposedly inherited that ability from her own father. [18] [19]

Jan Oskar Sverre Lucien Henri Guillou is a French-Swedish author and journalist. Guillou's fame in Sweden was established during his time as an investigative journalist, most notably in 1973 when he and co-reporter Peter Bratt exposed a secret and illegal intelligence organization in Sweden, Informationsbyrån (IB). He is still active within journalism as a column writer for the Swedish evening tabloid Aftonbladet. Among his books are a series of spy fiction novels about a spy named Carl Hamilton, and a trilogy(+) of historical fiction novels about a Knight Templar, Arn Magnusson. He is the owner of one of the largest publishing companies in Sweden, Piratförlaget, together with his wife, publisher Ann-Marie Skarp, and Liza Marklund.
Stellan John Skarsgård is a Swedish actor. He is known for his collaborations with director Lars von Trier, appearing in Breaking the Waves (1996), Dancer in the Dark (2000), Dogville (2003), Melancholia (2011), and Nymphomaniac (2013). Till Lindemann is a German singer and songwriter. He is the lead vocalist and lyricist of Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein and solo project Lindemann. Sven Justus Fredrik Wollter was a Swedish actor, writer, and political activist. Wollter is one of the most renowned Swedish actors, he was awarded Best Swedish actor twice. In his native country, he became widely known through his role as Madame Flod's son Gusten in Swedish Television's adaption of The People of Hemsö by August Strindberg in 1966. Later he had several notable roles, including in 1976 when he played Detective Sergeant Lennart Kollberg in Bo Widerberg's film The Man on the Roof. Alf Peter Tägtgren is a Swedish musician and record producer. He is the founder, main songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist of death metal band Hypocrisy as well as the industrial metal band Pain in which he is the only member. He is also the owner of The Abyss recording studio and the co-founder of Lindemann, a music project between Tägtgren and Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann. Tägtgren left Lindemann in 2020.
Sabaton is a Swedish power metal band from Falun. The vast majority of their albums are written about historical events, mainly wars and significant battles. Sabaton has been referred to as one of the "big four" power metal bands, along with Helloween, Blind Guardian, and DragonForce.

Lindemann is a German musical project fronted by vocalist Till Lindemann. It was formed in 2013 as a super-duo alongside Swedish multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren. Tägtgren originally defined their sound as a cross between his project Pain and Lindemann's main band Rammstein, adding "at least it's a mix of Rammstein vocals and Pain music." Together, they released the two albums Skills in Pills (2015) and F & M (2019). Tägtgren departed Lindemann in 2020, leaving Lindemann as a solo project.
Lo Marianne Kauppi is a Swedish film and theater actress, director, and television presenter. She has a successful career in theater, including performances at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Kauppi has also had several acting roles in Swedish films.
Jovan Radomir is a Serbian-Swedish television presenter, best known for presenting music programmes for Sveriges Television (SVT). His family's origin is Bosnian Serb.
Swedish Dicks is an American-Swedish comedy web television series created by Peter Stormare, Glenn Lund, Peter Settman, and Andrew Lowery. The plot follows two unlicensed Swedish private investigators trying to make a living in Los Angeles. It premiered on September 2, 2016, via Swedish online streaming service Viaplay. In the United States, the series premiered on the Pop television network on August 9, 2017, as well as being distributed worldwide by American company Lionsgate Television. In October 2016, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on December 25, 2017, in Northern Europe and premiered in 2018 in the United States.
Sharon Birgitta Dyall is a Swedish singer, actress and voice actress. She became famous in the late 1980s when she acted in the SVT TV series Varuhuset. She has since become known as a singer of soul and jazz music and as a musical performer. She has appeared in many theatre productions including West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Nine and Chicago . Aside from being active on stage and within the field of dubbing, Dyall also holds a degree in Logonomy, Aesthetic Voice and Speech Pedagogy teaching in Voice and Artistic Performance Development.
F & M is the second studio album by German-Swedish super-duo Lindemann. It was released on 22 November 2019 through Universal Music and Vertigo Berlin. The album was preceded by three singles; "Steh auf", "Ich weiß es nicht" and "Knebel", with "Steh auf" peaking at No. 8 in Germany. Vocalist Till Lindemann reverts to singing in German on this album unlike the group's debut album, Skills in Pills, which he sang entirely in English.
