Career

Arcangel started as a courtside reporter for the UAAP basketball games aired over Studio 23 (now ABS-CBN Sports and Action). [1] [2] In 2003, she became one of the hosts of the morning show Unang Hirit of GMA Network. [3] She also hosted the children's show Art Angel with Tonipet Gaba and Krystal Reyes where she along with his co-hosts won awards during the 21st, [4] 22nd [5] and 23rd [6] PMPC Star Awards for Television as Best Children Show Hosts. In QTV/Q (now GMA News TV, then GTV), she co-anchored Balitanghali with Raffy Tima for 9 years until Connie Sison permanently replaced her since November 10, 2014. [7]

She is currently a co-anchor of 24 Oras Weekend and Saksi . [8]

Personal life

Arcangel is the daughter of Clotilde Nieva-Arcangel, Dean of the UST College of Education. [9]

She finished high school at Assumption Antipolo and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2000.[ citation needed ]

Arcangel has been married to sportscaster Mico Halili since 2004. [10] She has 1 child, a daughter named Mickey. [11] [12]

Victoria "Vicky" Torres Morales-Reyno is a Filipino broadcast journalist and television presenter. She is best known for being one of the anchors of GMA Network's early evening newscast 24 Oras with Mel Tiangco and Emil Sumangil as well as for being the host of the Saturday afternoon documentary-drama show Wish Ko Lang!. She previously anchored Saksi, the late news program of GMA Network, from 1999 to 2014. i-Witness, formerly i-Witness: The GMA Documentaries is a Philippine television documentary show broadcast by GMA Network and GMA News TV. Originally hosted by Vicky Morales, Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Mike Enriquez, Cheche Lazaro and Jessica Soho, it premiered on January 18, 1999. It is the longest-running documentary program in Philippine television. The show concluded on GMA Network on April 29, 2020. Tunay na Buhay is a Philippine television documentary show broadcast by GMA Network, GMA News TV and GTV. Originally hosted by Rhea Santos, it premiered on January 21, 2011 replacing OFW Diaries on the network's evening line up. The show concluded on GMA Network on July 15, 2020. The show moved to GMA News TV on August 5, 2020 on the network's Power Block line up. Pia Arcangel served as the host. The show returned to GMA Network on January 6, 2021. The show concluded on January 12, 2022.

The 26th PMPC Star Awards for Television ceremony was held at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City on November 18, 2012 and broadcast over ABS-CBN Channel 2 on November 25, 2012. The ceremony was hosted by Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino and Toni Gonzaga and directed by Al Quinn.

Maria Perpetua Concepcion Sison Del Rosario-Escudero, professionally known as Connie Sison, is a Filipino broadcast journalist, reporter, host and news anchor. She is an anchor of the GTV newscast Balita Ko since 2014, and was one of the hosts of GMA Network's morning show Unang Hirit from 2010 until 2023. She also hosts Pinoy M.D. and its radio counterpart on Super Radyo DZBB 594, Pinoy M.D. sa Dobol B. Her hosting skills in Pinoy M.D. got her a Bantog award for Media Practitioner in Television given by Department of Science and Technology in 2018.

Mico Halili is a Filipino sports television personality, sportscaster and sports journalist. He is best known as the lead sportscaster for the basketball games of the PBA and UAAP. In October 2020, he became the Creative Director for sports programs and sports digital properties at Cignal TV.

Marie Grace Michelle Bade Umali-Tima, widely known as Mariz Umali, is a Filipino television news anchor and journalist. She is known for being the main newscaster of the weekend edition of GMA News TV's Balitanghali. She finished broadcast communications course at the University of the Philippines Diliman but she started as a pharmacy student. She started to work at GMA Network as a researcher and producer of news content for the 2001 Philippine general elections. Besides Balitanghali, she also appeared as host or documentarian in other television shows such as i-Witness, Out of Control and Born to Be Wild. She also appears as one of the host of the Unang Hirit, GMA Network's morning show

Sandra Aguinaldo is a Filipina television news anchor journalist, writer and documentarian. She is best known as one of the news reporters of 24 Oras and one of the hosts of I-Witness. In 2015, Aguinaldo together with her co-hosts in I-Witness won as the Best Documentary Program Hosts during the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television.

Laura Victoria Lehmann-Pessumal is a Filipino actress, TV host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss World Philippines 2017. She represented the Philippines at the Miss World 2017 pageant in China and finished as a Top 40 semifinalist.
