In gymnastics, podium training refers to the official practice session before a gymnastics competition begins. The purpose of this is to enable competing gymnasts to get a feel for the competition equipment inside the arena in which they will be competing. [1]

McKayla Rose Maroney is an American retired artistic gymnast and singer. Maroney was also a member of the gold-winning American team at the 2011 World Championships, where she won gold medals in the team and vault competitions. She defended her World title and won the gold medal on vault at the 2013 World Championships, becoming the first U.S. female gymnast to defend a World Championship vault title.

MyKayla Brooke Skinner Harmer is an retired American artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic vault silver medalist. She was previously an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. Skinner competed at the 2014 World Championships where she contributed to the U.S. team's gold medal, also winning an individual bronze medal on vault. She has won 11 total medals at the USA National Championships during her senior career and competed for the University of Utah's gymnastics team and is a two-time NCAA champion.
