Prolabeo batesi is a species of cyprinid fish endemic to Sierra Leone. [1] [2] It is the only member of its genus. [3]

Prolabeo batesi is known from several rivers in Sierra Leone. [1] [2] It grows to 10.5 cm (4.1 in) total length. [2]
