Ambler's Texaco Gas Station, also known as Becker's Marathon Gas Station, is a historic filling station located at the intersection of Old U.S. Route 66 and Illinois Route 17 in the village of Dwight, Illinois, United States. The station has been identified as the longest operating gas station along Route 66; it dispensed fuel for 66 continuous years until 1999. The station is a good example of a domestic style gas station and derives its most common names from ownership stints by two different men. North of the station is an extant outbuilding that once operated as a commercial icehouse. Ambler's was the subject of major restoration work from 2005–2007, and reopened as a Route 66 visitor's center in May 2007. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
The Dodge-Greenleaf House is on NY 211 in Otisville, New York, United States. It was built circa 1855 in the Gothic Revival style. The architect is unknown but it exemplifies contemporary trends in home design popularized by the writings and pattern books of Andrew Jackson Downing of nearby Newburgh, as articulated in the Picturesque mode.
The Santa Fe Apartments were an apartment building located in Detroit, Michigan. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and subsequently demolished by Wayne State University and removed from the National Register of Historic Places in 2022. The site is now the location of the Yousif B. Ghafari Hall.
The A. C. Smith & Co. Gas Station is a historic gas station at 117 Beale Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. It is a single-story brick, with a front facade divided into three vehicle bays on the left and an office on the right, with a pedestrian entrance to the work area in between. A low-pitch gable at the center acts a kind of parapet, and there are round decorative panels on the front facade. The building was constructed in 1926, and is a little-altered example of an early functional automotive filling and service station. Its original brickwork remains in good condition, and its service bays are distinctively illuminated in part by original skylights.
The Richmond Memorial Library is located on Ross Street in Batavia, New York, United States. It is an 1880s stone structure in the Richardsonian Romanesque style designed by Rochester architect James Goold Cutler.
The Keeney House is located on Main Street in Le Roy, New York, United States. It is a two-story wood frame house dating to the mid-19th century. Inside it has elaborately detailed interiors. It is surrounded by a landscaped front and back yard.
Hook and Ladder No. 4, originally Truck No. 4, is a firehouse located at Delaware Avenue in Albany, New York, United States. It is an elaborate brick structure in the Dutch Colonial Revival architectural style, designed by Albany architect Marcus T. Reynolds, and completed in 1912. In 2001 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Bell Hill School or District Number One School is an historic school in Otisfield, Maine. The one-room brick schoolhouse was one of three completed in 1839 for the town, and is the only one to survive. It served the town as a district school until 1940. It was acquired in 1950 by the Bell Hill Meetinghouse Association, and has been converted into a local history museum. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
The Pure Oil Gas Station, located at 65 Spring Street in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York, is a historic service station. It was built in 1933 by the Pure Oil Co. in the English Cottage style. It was moved to its present location on Spring Street in 1978 after having been located at 522 Broadway. It is a one-story, brick building in three sections, measuring 34 feet by 27 feet. It consists of the main block housing the office with a rear wing and one stall garage. It features a steeply pitched roof of durable tile.
The Lake of the Woods Ranger Station is a United States Forest Service compound consisting of eight buildings overlooking Lake of the Woods in the Fremont-Winema National Forests of southern Oregon. All of the ranger station structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps between 1937 and 1939. Today, the compound serves as a Forest Service work center, and the old ranger station office is a visitor center. The ranger station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Ferguson Gas Station is a historic automotive service station at Center Street and United States Route 65 in Marshall, Arkansas. It is a small single-story structure, with sandstone walls and brick quoining at the corners and openings. It has a steeply pitched gable roof, with a slightly projecting cross gable above the entrance. The station was built about 1927 by Zeb Ferguson, in a style first popularized by the Pure Oil Company.
North Chatham Historic District is a historic district consisting of most or all of the hamlet of North Chatham in Columbia County, New York. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.
The Walter Patterson Filling Station is a historic automotive service station building on United States Route 65 in central Clinton, Arkansas. It is a small single-story brick building, with a steeply pitched gable roof. The front of the building is symmetrical, with a central entrance flanked by square single-pane display windows, and a cross-gable above the entrance. Built in 1936, it is the only gas station from that period to survive in the city, and is a good example of commercial English Revival architecture.
The Henry and Johanna Van Maren House-Diamond Filling Station is a historic building located in Pella, Iowa, United States. The Van Marens had this two-story brick building constructed for their family home in 1877. Both were first generation immigrants from the Netherlands. Henry was a wagon and carriage-maker. They bought the property their home stands on under Johanna's name, and it remained in her name until she died in 1912 and it passed to Henry.
The Rainbow Conoco at 400 Main St. in Shelby, Montana, also known as Joe's, was built in 1936. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
The Huning Highlands Conoco Service Station is a historic gas station in the Huning Highlands neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was built in 1937 by the Continental Oil Company (Conoco) and is notable as a well-preserved example of the automobile-oriented development that shaped the city during the mid-20th century. The building was listed on the New Mexico State Register of Cultural Properties and the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
The Spring Street Service Station, at 200 N. Spring St. in McMinnville, Tennessee, also known as Pure Oil Gas Station, was built in 1932. It was designed by Carl August Petersen with Tudor Revival style, inside and out. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
The Continental Oil Company Filling Station at 35 First Ave. N. in Kalispell, Montana was a historic filling station built around 1932 for the Continental Oil Company which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. It has since been demolished.
Cobar Post Office is a heritage-listed post office at 47 Linsley Street, Cobar, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by James Barnet in 1885. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 22 August 2012.
