Royal Oak is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is a suburb of Detroit. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 57,236. It is the 8th-largest municipality in Oakland County and the 27th-largest municipality in Michigan by population.
Red Oak is a city in Ellis County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The population was 10,769 at the 2010 census, up from 4,301 at the 2000 census. The North Central Texas Council of Governments projects that number to grow to 63,329 by the year 2030, as it is on the verge of explosive suburban growth. Red Oak was the exterior location for filming True Stories, directed by David Byrne of Talking Heads and released in 1986.
Shenandoah is a city in Montgomery County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,134 at the 2010 census. It is the hometown of David Vetter, the famous "boy in the plastic bubble". In 1986 the Shenandoah city council renamed Tamina School Road to David Memorial Drive in honor of Vetter.
