Manga

The manga is available in both Japanese and English, and allows the reader to switch between the two languages for both text and audio. According to the creators, the manga's app has been downloaded from the iTunes Store and Google Play in over 50 countries. [1]

Anime

An anime television adaptation was announced in December 2014. [1] The series is directed by Tomomi Mochizuki, Atsuko Takahashi provides the character designs, and Kaoru Kondou is composing the series' music. The series' theme song, "Rainy Cocoa", is performed by Hiro Shimono. [2] The series began airing on 5 April 2015, and was simulcast in North America by Funimation. [3] [4]

A second season was announced in June 2015, titled Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color (雨色ココア Rainy colorへようこそ!, Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color e Yōkoso!). Also announced was a crowdfunding campaign to raise 2 million yen to add more characters and cast members. It premiered on 4 October 2015 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. It was accompanied by a live-action segment. [5] The second season was also streamed by Funimation. [6]

A third season was announced in April 2016, [7] titled Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii (雨色ココア in Hawaii, Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color Waikiki). It premiered on 2 October 2016 on Sun TV and Tokyo MX. [8]

A fourth season was announced in August 2017, titled Rainy Cocoa Amecon!! It premiered on 4 October 2017 on Sun TV and Tokyo MX. [9]

A fifth season was announced in April 2018, [10] titled Rainy Cocoa side G. It premiered on 8 January 2019 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. [11] Unlike previous seasons, this season has an all-female cast. [12]

Basilisk is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masaki Segawa. Based on the 1958 novel The Kouga Ninja Scrolls by Futaro Yamada, it was serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine Uppers from 2003 to 2004. The story takes place in the year 1614. Two ninja clans, Iga of Tsubagakure and the Kouga of Manjidani, battle each other to determine which grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu will become the next shogun. <i>Mushishi</i> Japanese manga series

Mushishi (蟲師) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Urushibara. It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine Afternoon Season Zōkan from 1999 to 2002, and in Monthly Afternoon from December 2002 to August 2008. The individual chapters were collected and released into ten tankōbon volumes by Kodansha. Those volumes were localized to North America by Del Rey between January 2007 and August 2010. The series follows Ginko, a man who dedicates himself to keeping people protected from supernatural creatures called Mushi.

<i>Strike Witches</i> Japanese media franchise

Strike Witches is a Japanese media mix originally created by Fumikane Shimada via a series of magazine illustration columns. The franchise has since been adapted into several light novel, manga, and anime series and various video games. The series revolves around teenage girls who use machines attached to their legs to do aerial combat. The OVA preview episode was released in January 2007. The televised anime series later aired between July and September 2008. A second season aired between July and September 2010. A film adaptation was released on March 17, 2012 and a three part OVA series was released between September 2014 and May 2015. A third season aired from October to December 2020.

<i>Code:Breaker</i> Japanese manga and anime series

Code:Breaker is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akimine Kamijyo running in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine. It tells the story of a high school girl named Sakura Sakurakōji who is trained in martial arts and a male transfer student with mysterious powers named Rei Ōgami. An anime adaptation produced by Kinema Citrus began airing on October 6, 2012. It has been licensed by Funimation in North America. Funimation later added the English dub version in June 2014.

The manga is a spin-off of Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series, taking place before and during the events of the main story.
