Ramsvika is a village in the municipality of Namsos in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the sea shore about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north of the town of Namsos and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Vemundvik Church.

Namsen (Norwegian) or Nååmesje (Southern Sami) is one of the longest rivers in Trøndelag county, in the central part of Norway. The 228-kilometre (142 mi) long river flows through the municipalities of Røyrvik, Namsskogan, Grong, Overhalla, and Namsos before emptying into the Namsenfjorden. The river is the namesake for the whole Namdalen region. The river traditionally has been used for floating timber down from the forests to the town of Namsos, where the sawmills were located. Today, parts of the Namsen are regulated by several dams.

The Lokkaren Bridge is a suspension bridge in Namsos municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The bridge crosses the Lokkarsundet strait which runs between the mainland of Namsos and the island of Otterøya. It is located about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) northwest of the town of Namsos. The 435-metre-long (1,427 ft) bridge was opened on 2 December 1977.

Folda, Trøndelag fjord in Trøndelag, Norway

Folda or Folla is a firth and a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located within the municipalities of Flatanger, Namsos, Fosnes, and Nærøy. The large wide firth is about 50 kilometres (31 mi) long which then narrows into a fjord which is about 75 kilometres (47 mi) long. The narrower fjord part of Folda is often called the Foldfjorden or Innerfolda. Most of the fjord is very narrow, some places with steep cliffs. It has the largest length to width factor among Norway's fjords. The fjord is crossed by the Norwegian County Road 17 road using the Folda Bridge at the village of Foldereid. Spruce forests cover most areas around the fjord. The outer-Folda area is notorious for its rough seas, and has been called an "ocean graveyard".

Otterøya is an island in the municipality of Namsos in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 143-square-kilometre (55 sq mi) island is the largest island in the northern part of Trøndelag county. Otterøya sits just to the northwest of the town of Namsos on the north side of the Namsenfjorden. It is connected to the mainland by the Lokkaren Bridge. Vemundvik Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Namsos municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Vemundvik, just east of the village of Ramsvika. It is the church for the Vemundvik parish which is part of the Namdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1875 by the architect Ole Olsen Scheistrøen. The church seats about 300 people.

Vemundvik (municipality) Former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag, Norway

Vemundvik is a former municipality in the old Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 247-square-kilometre (95 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. By 1964, the municipality roughly corresponded to the mainland areas north of the river Namsen in what is now the municipality of Namsos in Trøndelag county. From 1838 until about 1942, the administrative centre was the village of Vemundvik where Vemundvik Church is located. After 1941, the municipal offices and administration was headquartered in the town of Namsos.
