Raquette Lake is a hamlet in the town of Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York, United States.
The community is on New York State Route 28 on the western side of Raquette Lake. Great Camp Sagamore is in the hamlet. [1]

Camp Pine Knot, also known as Huntington Memorial Camp, on Raquette Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, was built by William West Durant. Begun in 1877, it was the first of the "Adirondack Great Camps" and epitomizes the "Great Camp" architectural style. Elements of that style include log and native stonework construction, decorative rustic items of branches and twigs, and layout as a compound of separated structures. The Church of the Good Shepherd is an Episcopal church on Saint Hubert's Isle in Raquette Lake, in the town of Long Lake, New York. Erected by developer William West Durant in 1880, it was built to serve the owners, guests and employees of the Great Camps that Durant was creating in the area. Designed by the architectural firm of J. Cleaveland Cady of New York City, Good Shepherd is an example of the stick style of architecture, popular during the latter part of the 19th century. The island was originally named Bluff Island, but was later renamed in honor of Saint Hubert, the patron saint of hunters.
The Adirondack Canoe Classic, also known as the 90-miler, is a three-day, 90-mile (140 km) canoe race from Old Forge to Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks of New York, United States. The race has drawn as many as 500 competitors from California to Florida, New Zealand and Canada paddling 250 canoes, kayaks and guideboats. Included in the ninety mile length is 5.25 miles (8.45 km) of carries.
4,077-acre Long Lake is a 14-mile (23 km) lake in the town of Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York in the United States; the average width is half a mile. It is part of the Raquette River, which flows in a straight, northeast-trending valley. NY 30 crosses at a narrows 4 miles (6.4 km) from the south end where the hamlet of Long Lake is located. There are two public beaches and a state boat launch. More than half of the shoreline is part of the New York State Forest preserve. The northern end of the lake is undeveloped. The lake is also part of the 740-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail, which begins in Old Forge, NY and ends in Fort Kent, ME. The Long Lake Camp for the Arts is based on the west side of the lake.
The Eckford Chain of lakes is composed of Blue Mountain Lake, Eagle Lake, and Utowana Lake in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. The chain was named for Henry Eckford, a noted engineer and ship builder who made a survey of the lakes in 1811. All of the lakes are located in the town of Indian Lake, in Hamilton County.
South Wilson is a hamlet in the town of Wilson in Niagara County, New York, United States.
Sagamore Lake is located south of Raquette Lake, New York. Sagamore Lake was known as Shedd Lake before being renamed "Sagamore Lake" by Alfred G. Vanderbilt after he purchased Great Camp Sagamore in 1901. South Inlet is the outlet creek, which flows into Raquette Lake. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, lake whitefish, lake trout, white sucker, black bullhead, yellow perch, and sunfish. There is access by trail from Sagamore Road on the northwest shore. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on the lake.
