Ravipuram (Malayalam : രവിപുരം) is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is part of downtown Kochi. It is also one of the wealthiest localities in the heart of Kochi. The area consists with multi-national commercial establishments, important government offices, shopping malls, educational institutions, star hotels, restaurants, and cultural centers. It is also considered to the center of the city and nearest point connecting Ernakulam Junction Railway station.
Kochi, also known as Cochin, is a major port city on the south-west coast of India bordering the Laccadive Sea. It is part of the district of Ernakulam in the state of Kerala and is often referred to as Ernakulam. Kochi is the most densely populated city in Kerala. As of 2011, it has a corporation limit population of 677,381 within an area of 94.88 km² and a total urban population of more than of 2.1 million within an area of 440 km², making it the largest and the most populous metropolitan area in Kerala. Kochi city is also part of the Greater Cochin region and is classified as a Tier-II city by the Government of India. The civic body that governs the city is the Kochi Municipal Corporation, which was constituted in the year 1967, and the statutory bodies that oversee its development are the Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) and the Goshree Islands Development Authority (GIDA).
Kerala is a state on the southwestern Malabar Coast of India. It was formed on 1 November 1956, following passage of the States Reorganisation Act, by combining Malayalam-speaking regions. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi), Kerala is the twenty-third largest Indian state by area. It is bordered by Karnataka to the north and northeast, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea to the west. Willingdon Island is the largest artificial island in India, which forms part of the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala. Much of the present Willingdon Island was claimed from the Lake of Kochi, filling in dredged soil around a previously existing, but tiny, natural island. Willingdon Island is significant as the home for the Port of Kochi, as well as the Kochi Naval Base of the Indian Navy, Plant Quarantine station, Custom House Cochin and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, a constituent unit of Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
Fort Kochi is a region in the city of Kochi in the state of Kerala, India. Vypin or Vypeen is one of the group of islands that form part of the city of Kochi, in the South Indian state of Kerala. Vypin is one of the densely populated islands in Asia. The island is about 27 kilometres (17 mi) long and is connected to mainland Kochi by a series of bridges known as the Goshree bridges, which start at Kalamukku in Vypin, touch other two islands and then finish at Marine Drive covering a total distance of around 3 km (1.9 mi).

National Route 33, also known as the Tosa Kaidō, is a Japanese highway on the island of Shikoku. It originates at the intersection of Route 32 and other arteries in the city of Kōchi and terminates in the city of Matsuyama, where it meets Route 11 and other national highways. Its history dates to the year 662.
The Kochi Municipal Corporation is the municipal corporation that manages the Indian city of Kochi. The Corporation manages 94.88 km2 of Kochi city and has a population of 677,381. Kochi is the 4th largest city in Kerala. It is the most densely populated city corporation in the state.

The city police was reorganized as Metro Police force, on 1 April 1966, after forming City Corporation of Cochin. The road infrastructure in Kochi has not been able to meet the growing traffic demand and hence traffic congestion is a major problem in the city. A comprehensive transport development plan has been included in the Kochi Masterplan hoping to improve the transport infrastructure. Kochi Metro, the rapid transit system for the city was inaugurated on 17 June 2017. A Suburban Railway system, intended to considerably ease congestion, is also to be built in the near future.
Vallarpadam is one among the group of islands, that form part of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated in the Vembanad Lake, locally known as The Kochi Lake and has a population of over 10,000. Vallarpadam is one of the two islands, the other being Willingdon Island, around which the Port of Kochi is situated. The International Container Transshipment Terminal of the port is situated entirely in Vallarpadam island. Vypin island lie on its west side and Mulavukad island lie to its east.
Maradu is a municipality in the district of Ernakulam in Kerala, India. It is located at about 7 km (4.3 mi) from the city center. It was formed in May 1953 as a Grama Panchayath and was upgraded to the level of municipality in November 2010. National highways NH 85, NH 966 B and NH 66 passes through Maradu and has played a vital role in the development of the area. Maradu is well connected by waterways as well.
The Kochi Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It was opened to the public within four years of starting construction, making it the fastest completed metro project in India until the Lucknow Metro overtook it. The Kochi metro project is the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transport facilities. The first phase is being set up at an estimated cost of ₹51.81 billion (US$750 million). On October 2017, Kochi Metro was named the Best Urban Mobility Project in India by the Urban Development Ministry, as part of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) international conference hosted by the ministry every year.
Vyttila is an intersection as well as the name of a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is the busiest as well as one of the largest intersections in Kerala. This node intersects the main north-south artery of the state of Kerala, namely, the Kochi Bypass, with three city roads of Kochi viz, the S. A. Road, the Vyttila-Petta Road, and the Thammanam Road.
Mahatma Gandhi Road, popularly known as M. G. Road, is the main artery as well as the commercial high street of the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. The road lies north-south with its boundaries at the Venduruthy bridge, Thevara in the south, and the Madhava Pharmacy Junction in the north, where it intersects the Banerji Road. The road was earlier part of the NH 47A and was later handed over to Kochi Municipal Corporation. The highway was earlier known as Seventy Feet road. The total distance of the road is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi).
Gold Souk Grande is a shopping mall located in Kochi, India. Located at Vytilla, the busiest and one of the largest intersections in Kerala, the mall has a total floor space of 5,00,000 sq ft spread over five floors designed by designing firm WS Atkins. The mall opened on March 2011 with over 200 national and international brands when it was the largest mall in the state of Kerala. The property is owned and managed by Gold Souk group famous for establishing malls in other prominent cities across the country.
