Richard E Holz (30 October 1914 – August 1986), was an American brass band composer, served as Chaplain to the U.S. Air Force in New Guinea, Philippines and Japan. He married Ruby Walker in 1941.
A brass band is a musical ensemble generally consisting entirely of brass instruments, most often with a percussion section. Ensembles that include brass and woodwind instruments can in certain traditions also be termed brass bands, but may more correctly termed military bands, concert bands, or "brass and reed" bands.
A chaplain is, traditionally, a cleric, or a lay representative of a religious tradition, attached to a secular institution such as a hospital, prison, military unit, school, labor union, business, police department, fire department, university, or private chapel.
