Bruce Rioch Scottish footballer

Bruce David Rioch is a football manager and former player for the Scotland national team. His last managerial post was at Aalborg BK in the Danish Superliga in 2008.

David McKenzie Rioch was a psychiatric research scientist and neuroanatomist, known as a pioneer in brain research and for leading the interdisciplinary neuropsychiatry division at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (1951–1970), a program that contributed to the formation of the then-nascent field of neuroscience.

Born in Dunoon, he began his professional career in 1967 with Chelsea, before moving across London to Brentford in 1972. Daniel Gordon "Neil" Rioch is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender in the Football League for Aston Villa, York City, Northampton Town and Plymouth Argyle, in the North American Soccer League for Toronto Metros and Portland Timbers. The younger brother of Scotland captain Bruce Rioch he was one of the ball boys at the 1966 World Cup final and claims to be the first Englishman to touch the ball at that event. He was also on the books of Luton Town without making a league appearance. He was capped by the England national youth team in 1969.

Margaret Jeffrey Rioch (1907–1996) was an American psychotherapist. In the 1960s she led a National Institute of Mental Health program to train women to become paraprofessional mental health counselors. She was professor of psychology at American University, and founder and director of the A. K. Rice Institute, which studied group dynamics. Rioch was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and graduated from Wellesley College. She then attended Bryn Mawr College where she received a master's degree and doctorate in philology.
