Riverview Park, is a park located on the Chippewa River in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on the north side of the city. The park also incorporates an island in the Chippewa River.
Riverview Park offers three pavilions for picnics and parties, all of which offer grilling facilities, seating accommodations and access to electricity; 3 miles (4.8 km) of track for walking or bicycling; and a boat landing. [1] [2]
The park is open year-round, and also offers playground and public bathrooms. Cross-country skiing is allowed in winter. The picnic shelter and bathroom facilities ere built in 1971. [3]
In 2020 the Eau Claire City Council announced $2M worth of improvements to the park. [4]

The Chippewa River in Wisconsin flows approximately 183 miles (294 km) through west-central and northwestern Wisconsin. It was once navigable for approximately 50 miles (80 km) of its length, from the Mississippi River, by Durand, northeast to Eau Claire. Its catchment defines a portion of the northern boundary of the Driftless Area. The river is easily accessible for bikers and pleasure seekers via the Chippewa River State Trail which follows the river from Eau Claire to Durand.

Via the Chippewa River, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. Its name is the French translation from the Ojibwe Wayaa-gonaatigweyaa-ziibi.
Soo Line 2719 is a 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) for use on passenger trains operated by the Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie Railway. No. 2719 was used to haul the Soo Line's last steam-powered train, a June 21, 1959 round-trip excursion between Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ladysmith, Wisconsin. It was then displayed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin until 1996. It was restored and operated in excursion service from 1998 until 2013 when its boiler certificate expired. Today, the locomotive remains on display in Duluth, Minnesota.

Putnam Park is a 230-acre (0.93 km2) state natural area owned by the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. The park is located in the middle of the city of Eau Claire and follows the course of both the Chippewa River to the west and Minnie Creek to the east. Phoenix Park is a public space in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin, located on a former brownfield site at the confluence of the Chippewa River and the Eau Claire River. The Cornell Pulpwood Stacker is located at Millyard Park in Cornell, Wisconsin, United States. It was utilized to move pulpwood logs into large piles so they could be sent through waterways to paper mills. The stacker operated at the Cornell Wood Products Mill from 1912 until its obsolescence in 1971. It is listed both on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as on the Wisconsin State Historical Society's listing of Cornell Millyard Park.
