The Super Sentai Series is a Japanese superhero team metaseries and media franchise consisting of television series and films produced by Toei Company and Bandai, and aired by TV Asahi. The shows are of the tokusatsu genre, featuring live action characters and colorful special effects, and are aimed at children and young adults. Super Sentai airs alongside the Kamen Rider series in the Super Hero Time programming block on Sunday mornings.
Tokusatsu is a Japanese term for live-action films or television programs that make heavy use of practical special effects. Credited to special effects director Eiji Tsuburaya, tokusatsu mainly refers to science fiction, war, fantasy, or horror media featuring such technology but is also occasionally dubbed a genre itself. Its contemporary use originated in the Japanese mass media around 1958 to explain special effects in an easy-to-understand manner and was popularized during the "first monster boom" (1966–1968). Prior to the monster boom, it was known in Japan as tokushu gijutsu or shortened tokugi.

Toshiki Inoue is a Japanese screenwriter from Saitama Prefecture. He is known for his work on anime and tokusatsu dramas and films. He is the son of Masaru Igami, who himself was a screenwriter for tokusatsu dramas. He is also a manga author, and has written both Mebius Gear and Sword Gai.
Kenji Ebisawa is a Japanese actor, best known for the role of Gunpei Ishihara/Go-on Black in the 2008 tokusatsu series Engine Sentai Go-onger.
Gaku Shindo is a Japanese actor and singer. His debut role was as the Eagle Sazer in the tokusatsu series Chousei Kantai Sazer-X, but he is most well known for playing Harukaze Kurobane in the Prince of Tennis musicals in 2006.
Tsutomu Kitagawa is a Japanese actor and stuntman who is mostly known for playing Godzilla for the "Millennium" series. He also played King Ghidorah for Rebirth of Mothra III. He also played the costumed actor for the Blue Ranger in many of Toei Company's Super Sentai Series in the 1980s, better known in the United States as Power Rangers. Kitagawa graduated from Sakuragaoka High School before joining Sonny Chiba's Japan Action Club in January 1975.
The ChouSeiShin Series is a tokusatsu superhero TV franchise which debuted in Japan from 2003 through 2006. The Chouseishin Series was produced by Toho Company, Ltd., in association with Konami, to emulate and partner the success of Toei's Super Sentai and Kamen Rider series.
Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger is the Toei Company's 37th entry in its long-running Super Sentai metaseries of Japanese tokusatsu television series aired on TV Asahi from 17 February 2013 to 9 February 2014, replacing Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and was replaced by Ressha Sentai ToQger. The program joining Kamen Rider Wizard and later Kamen Rider Gaim in TV Asahi's Super Hero Time programming block. This is the first Super Sentai series to be shot in Full HD at 1080p, as Shinkenger up to Go-Busters was only shot in 720p.
Ayuri Konno is a former Japanese actress known for her role as Amy Yuuzuki/Kyoryu Pink in the 2013 Super Sentai series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. In July 2018, she announced her retirement from acting to pursue an opportunity outside the entertainment industry.
Chousei Kantai Sazer-X the Movie: Fight! Star Warriors, also known as Sazer-X the Movie in English, is a 2005 tokusatsu superhero film by Toho Company Ltd. The film is based on all the warriors of the Chouseishin Series. It is directed by Kazuki Omori, known abroad for his contributions to the Godzilla series. Sazer-X the Movie was released on December 17, 2005, with a duration of 70 minutes. The DVD was released on May 26, 2006.
Yamato Kinjo is a Japanese actor who is affiliated with Stay Luck. He played the role of Nobuharu Udo in the 2013 Super Sentai TV series Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger and Takeshi Goutokuji in the 2022 Kamen Rider TV series Kamen Rider Geats.
Sho Tomita is a Japanese actor who is affiliated with Toki Entertainment. He played the role of Yukito Sanjyo in the 2003 Super Sentai TV series Bakuryū Sentai Abaranger.
Power Rangers Dino Force Brave is a 2017 South Korean tokusatsu television show produced by Daewon Media, the same company which distributes the Super Sentai Series in South Korea under the "Power Rangers" label despite being unrelated to Saban Brands. It serves as a sequel to the 2013 Super Sentai Series, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. Toei Company, the owner of the Super Sentai franchise, collaborated in the filming. Kyoryuger director Koichi Sakamoto returned to direct the series. The show began its broadcast in South Korea on April 1 with two episodes a week for the first two weeks before moving to one episode a week starting April 15. The majority of the main cast is composed of K-pop artists.
