Rolando García Guerreño (born 10 February 1990 in Asunción, Paraguay) is a Paraguayan footballer currently playing for Argentine Primera División side Lanús. [1] [2]

Argentine Primera División Primera División

The Primera División, named Superliga Argentina since the 2017–18 season, is a professional football league in Argentina, organised by the homonymous entity, that is administrated independently and has its own statute. Nevertheless, the Superliga is contractually linked with the main football body, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) that organized all the championships from 1893 to 2017.

Club Atlético Lanús is an Argentine sports club from the Lanús district of Greater Buenos Aires. Founded on 3 January 1915, the club's main sports are football and basketball. Career

Club

Rolando García started his career in 2009 with Paraguayan club 2 de Mayo, his stay with the club was short as he left a year later to join Primera B Nacional team Defensa y Justicia; his debut for Defensa y Justicia came on 6 February 2010 against San Martín de Tucumán. [1] [2] It wasn't until the 2011–12 season that García scored his first goal for the club, in a 3–0 home win over Chacarita Juniors in August 2011. In his following and final season with the club, 2012–13, he scored 4 goals in 32 appearances as they finished sixth. He departed Defensa y Justicia in 2013 and subsequently joined Ascenso MX club Lobos BUAP. He remained with the Mexicans for one season before leaving as he made 21 league appearances and scored two goals. [1]

Club Sportivo 2 de Mayo is a football (soccer) club from the city of Pedro Juan Caballero, department of Amambay in Paraguay. The team got promoted to the first division of the Paraguay 2nd division in 2005.

Primera B Nacional is the second division of the Argentine football league system, made up of 25 teams in the 2017–18 season.

2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the 17th U-20 tournament, which was hosted by Egypt from 24 September to 16 October, in the cities of Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Suez and Ismaïlia. The tournament was initially going to take place between 10–31 July, however the 2009 Confederations Cup was played mid year resulting in both the Under 20 World Cup and the Under 17 World Cup being played towards the end of the year. The cup was won by Ghana after they defeated Brazil on penalties in the final, becoming the first African team to have won the tournament.
