Rødven is a village in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the Rødvenfjorden, just south of where the fjord empties into Romsdal Fjord. The village of Eidsbygda lies about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of Rødven. The village is notable for the 12th century Rødven Stave Church. The church is now a museum and the much newer Rødven Church sits across the road from the historic stave church.

Romsdalsfjord fjord in Norway

Romsdalsfjord or Romsdal Fjord is the ninth-longest fjord in Norway. It is 88 kilometres (55 mi) long and located in the Romsdal district of Møre og Romsdal county. It flows through the municipalities of Midsund, Haram, Vestnes, Molde, Nesset, and Rauma. The deepest point in the fjord is just southwest of the town of Molde, where it is 550 metres (1,800 ft) deep. Romsdalsfjord is a threshold-fjord, as it is separated from the ocean by shallower areas at the mouth. Several islands and skerries also shelter the wide central fjord from the Atlantic.

Åfarnes is a village in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located at the confluence of Romsdal Fjord, Langfjorden, and Rødvenfjorden. The Norwegian County Road 64 runs through the village on its way from the town of Åndalsnes and the town of Molde. There is a ferry quay in Åfarnes with regular ferries across the Langfjorden to the village of Sølsnes in Molde Municipality to the north. The proposed Langfjord Tunnel would connect Åfarnes and Sølsnes as part of County Road 64. The local Church of Norway parish is based at Holm Church, located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) east of the village.

Stranda Church, also known as Sløgstad Church, is a parish church in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stranda, along the western shore of the Storfjorden. The church is part of the Stranda parish in the Austre Sunnmøre deanery in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden, octagonal church was built in 1838 to replace an older church on the site. There has been a church at this site for centuries. The earliest known church on the site was a stave church that was destroyed in 1731 by a small tsunami caused by a rockslide into the fjord.

Liabygda Village in Western Norway, Norway

Liabygda is a village in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located on the northern shore of the Norddalsfjorden, just north of the mouth of the Sunnylvsfjorden. Liabygda and its immediate vicinity are separated from the rest of the municipality by the fjord. There is a ferry from Liabygda kai at Gravaneset to the village of Stranda on the south side of the fjord Storfjorden. Liabygda Church is located in this village, serving the part of Stranda on the eastern side of the fjord.
