The Săliște (also: Râul Negru and Valea Mare) is a left tributary of the river Cibin in Romania. [1] [2] It discharges into the Cibin in Orlat. [3] Its length is 32 km (20 mi) and its basin size is 220 km2 (85 sq mi). [2]

Olt (river) River in Romania

The Olt is a river in Romania. It is 615 km (382 mi) long, and its basin area is 24,050 km2 (9,290 sq mi). It is the longest river flowing exclusively through Romania. Its average discharge at the mouth is 174 m3/s (6,100 cu ft/s). Its source is in the Hășmaș Mountains of the eastern Carpathian Mountains, near Bălan, rising close to the headwaters of the river Mureș. It flows through the Romanian counties Harghita, Covasna, Brașov, Sibiu, Vâlcea and Olt. The river was known as Alutus or Aluta in Roman antiquity. Olt County and the historical province of Oltenia are named after the river.

Moldova (river) River in Romania

The Moldova is a river in Romania, in the historical region of Moldavia. It is a right tributary of the river Siret. The river rises from the Obcina Feredeu Mountains of Bukovina in Suceava County and joins the Siret in Cotu Vameș, east of the city of Roman in Neamț County. The total length of the Moldova from its source to its confluence with the Siret is 213 km (132 mi). Its basin area is 4,299 km2 (1,660 sq mi).

The Crișul Negru (Romanian), is a river in western Romania (Transylvania) and south-eastern Hungary. The river has its source in the western Apuseni Mountains. It flows through the towns Ștei and Beiuș in Romania. Crossing the border of Hungary the river, now called Fekete-Körös, joins the Fehér-Körös a few kilometres north from Gyula to form the Körös river. In Romania, its length is 164 km (102 mi) and its basin size is 3,820 km2 (1,470 sq mi). Part of the water from the river Crișul Repede is diverted towards the Crișul Negru by the Criș Collector Canal.

Buzău (river)

The Buzău is a river in eastern Romania, tributary of the river Siret. Its total length is 302 km, and its drainage basin area is 5,264 km2. Its source is in the south-eastern Carpathian Mountains, east of Brașov. The Buzău flows through the Romanian counties Brașov, Covasna, Buzău and Brăila. It flows into the Siret in Voinești, close to its confluence with the Danube, west of Galați.

Cibin

Cibin is a river in central Romania, in the south part of Transylvania. Its source is close to the highest peak in the Cindrel Mountains of the Southern Carpathian Mountains. Upstream from its confluence with the Râul Mic, the river is also called Râul Mare. The river flows entirely in Sibiu County.

Vișeu

The Vișeu in northern Romania is a left tributary of the river Tisza. Its source is in the Rodna Mountains. It passes through the following villages, communes and cities: Borșa (city), Moisei (commune), Vișeu de Sus (city), Vișeu de Jos (commune), Leordina (commune), Petrova (commune), Bistra (village), Valea Vișeului (village). In Valea Vișeului village, the river flows into the Tisza. Its length is 82 km (51 mi). Its drainage basin covers an area of 1,581 km2 (610 sq mi).

Lotru

The Lotru is a right tributary of the river Olt in Romania. Its source is in the Parâng Mountains. It feeds the reservoirs Vidra, Malaia and Brădișor. It flows into the Olt in Golotreni, near the town Brezoi. It passes through the communes Voineasa, Malaia, and Brezoi. Its length is 83 km (52 mi) and its basin size is 990 km2 (380 sq mi).

Asău (Trotuș)

The Asău is a left tributary of the river Trotuș in Romania. Its source is located in the Tarcău Mountains. It discharges into the Trotuș in the village Asău, near Comănești. Its length is 39 km (24 mi) and its basin size is 208 km2 (80 sq mi).

The Ghimbav is a left tributary of the river Dâmbovița in Romania. Its source is in the Leaota Mountains. It flows into the Dâmbovița upstream from Rucăr. Its length is 12 km (7.5 mi) and its basin size is 42 km2 (16 sq mi).

The Jiul de Vest is a headwater of the river Jiu in Romania. At its confluence with the Jiul de Est in Iscroni, the Jiu is formed. Its length is 54 km (34 mi) and its basin size is 496 km2 (192 sq mi). The upper course of the river is also known locally as Câmpușelu.

The Ghimbășel is a left tributary of the river Bârsa in Romania. Its source is in the northern part of the Bucegi Mountains. Originally it discharged directly into the Olt, but much of its flow has been diverted into the Bârsa, another tributary of the Olt, near Colonia Bod. Its length is 67 km (42 mi) and its basin size is 533 km2 (206 sq mi). The former lower course of the Ghimbășel, downstream of this diversion, still exists and is used for the discharge of local inflows. It flows into the Olt north of Bod. Its length is 6 km (3.7 mi) and its basin size is 8 km2 (3.1 sq mi).

The Izvorul Dorului is a right tributary of the river Prahova in Romania. It discharges into the Prahova in Sinaia. Its length is 16 km (9.9 mi) and its basin size is 33 km2 (13 sq mi).

Râul Negru

The Râul Negru is a left tributary of the river Olt in Romania. It discharges into the Olt in Lunca Câlnicului. It flows through the villages Lemnia, Lunga, Catalina, Hătuica, Surcea, Telechia, Bita, Reci, Sântionlunca, Ozun, Băcel, Chichiș and Lunca Câlnicului. Its length is 88 km (55 mi) and its basin size is 2,349 km2 (907 sq mi).

Sadu (Cibin)

The Sadu is a right tributary of the river Cibin in Romania. It discharges into the Cibin in Tălmaciu. The Negovanu and Sadu II dams are located on the Sadu. Its length is 60 km (37 mi) and its basin size is 278 km2 (107 sq mi).

Cașin (Râul Negru)

The Cașin is a right tributary of the river Râul Negru in Romania. It discharges into the Râul Negru in Catalina. It flows through the villages and towns Plăieșii de Sus, Plăieșii de Jos, Iacobeni, Valea Seacă, Sânzieni, Târgu Secuiesc and Catalina. Its length is 54 km (34 mi) and its basin size is 482 km2 (186 sq mi).

The Orlat is a right tributary of the river Săliște in Romania. It flows into the Săliște in the village Orlat. Its length is 15 km (9.3 mi) and its basin size is 19 km2 (7.3 sq mi).

The Sebeș is a right tributary of the river Cibin in Romania. Its source is in the Cindrel Mountains. It discharges into the Cibin in Șelimbăr, southeast of Sibiu. Its length is 30 km (19 mi) and its basin size is 101 km2 (39 sq mi).

The Ozunca is a left tributary of the river Baraolt in Romania. It discharges into the Baraolt near Biborțeni. Its length is 18 km (11 mi) and its basin size is 96 km2 (37 sq mi). The name Ozunca is used mostly for the upper reach of the river, while the name Bățani is used for the lower reach.

The Tazlău is a left tributary of the river Trotuș in Romania. Its source is in the Tarcău Mountains. It discharges into the Trotuș in Slobozia, near the city Onești. The Belci Dam, which failed in 1991, was built on the river Tazlău. The following villages are situated along the river Tazlău, from source to mouth: Tazlău, Frumoasa, Balcani, Ludași, Pârjol, Tărâța, Hemieni, Scorțeni, Tescani, Berești-Tazlău, Sănduleni, Livezi, Helegiu and Slobozia. Its length is 89 km (55 mi) and its basin size is 1,104 km2 (426 sq mi).

The Mărcușa is a right tributary of the Râul Negru in Romania. It flows into the Râul Negru between the villages Mărcușa and Surcea. Its length is 24 km (15 mi) and its basin size is 89 km2 (34 sq mi).
