The Salta Open, or the Abierto de Salta, was a golf tournament on the TPG Tour, the official professional golf tour in Argentina. Played from 2004 to 2008, it was always held at the Salta Golf & Polo Club, in Salta, Salta Province.

The TPG Tour is the principal professional golf tour in Argentina. The tour was formed in 2007, following disputes within the PGA of Argentina, who had operated the main professional tour in the country in previous years.

Professional golf tours are the means by which otherwise unconnected professional golf tournaments are organised into a regular schedule. There are separate tours for men and women with each tour being based in a specific geographical region, although some tours may hold tournaments in other parts of the world.
