The film did good business at the box office and was declared "Hit". The film was officially offered to Amisha Patel, however the actress refused to do the film because she did not want to work with less successful actors in the beginning of her career after starring in back to back blockbuster movies. Surprised and shocked by Amisha's attitude, Yash Raj banner decided not to work with her in any of the films produced under their banner.
