St. Georgen am Fillmannsbach, also Sankt Georgen am Fillmannsbach is a municipality in the district of Braunau am Inn in the Austrian state of Upper Austria.

With an area of 11,982 km2 (4,626 sq mi) and 1.437 million inhabitants, Upper Austria is the fourth-largest Austrian state by land area and the third-largest by population.

Geography

Sankt Georgen lies in the Innviertel. About 21 percent of the municipality is forest and 75 percent farmland.

The Innviertel is a traditional Austrian region southeast of the Inn river. It forms the western part of the state of Upper Austria and borders the German state of Bavaria. The Innviertel is one of the four traditional "quarters" of Upper Austria, the others being Hausruckviertel, Mühlviertel, and Traunviertel.
