Schoharie Valley Railroad Complex is a national historic district located at Schoharie in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes five contributing buildings and four contributing structures. The complex of buildings were built about 1875 by the Schoharie Valley Railroad. They include the passenger station, freight / locomotive house, office, old mill building, storage facility, and four coal silos. The four mile railroad was abandoned in 1942. [2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. [1]

SUNY Plaza, formerly the Delaware & Hudson Railroad Company Building, is a public office building located at 353 Broadway at the intersection with State Street in downtown Albany, New York. Locally the building is sometimes referred to as "The Castle" or "D&H Plaza"; prior to the construction of the nearby Empire State Plaza it was simply "The Plaza". The central tower of the building is thirteen stories high and is capped by an 8-foot-tall (2.4 m) working weathervane that is a replica of Henry Hudson's Half Moon.

Schoharie Crossing State Historic Site, also known as Erie Canal National Historic Landmark, is a historic district that includes the ruins of the Erie Canal aqueduct over Schoharie Creek, and a 3.5-mile (5.6 km) long part of the Erie Canal, in the towns of Glen and Florida within Montgomery County, New York. It was the first part of the old canal to be designated a National Historic Landmark, prior to the designation of the entire New York State Barge Canal as a NHL in 2017.

Breakabeen Historic District is a national historic district located at the hamlet of Breakabeen in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes 33 contributing buildings. Most of the buildings were built in the early to mid-19th century in a vernacular Greek Revival style. Several buildings are temple-like featuring one or two story high portico supported by square columns. The most interesting structure is a post American Civil War hotel. It is a large, square, two story building with a flat roof, exhibiting a variation of an Italian Villa theme.

The district contains five contributing buildings and one contributing structure. It was developed between about 1876 and 1946 and includes the Ulster and Delaware Railroad Depot, Robinson and Preston Steam Flour and Feed Mill, Slawson-Decker-Sheffield Co Creamery, Ulster and Delaware Railroad Ice House, and George M. Orr Blacksmith Shop.

Hanford Mill United States historic place

Hanford Mills Museum, also known as Kelso Mill, is a historic grist mill and sawmill and national historic district located at East Meredith, New York in Delaware County, New York. The district contains nine contributing buildings and three contributing structures. The complex includes both natural and structural facilities. It includes a mill race from Kortright Creek to the damned up Mill Pond which supplies the waterwheel, a spillway for the pond's overflow, a section of old New York Central Railroad track, two railroad bridges crossing Kortright Creek, and a variety of buildings. The main structure is a mill building dating to the 1820s with additions from the 1870s, 1880s, and 1890s. The four story wood frame structure is approximately 150 feet long and 120 feet high. Also on the property is a one-story depot building with grain elevator and storage facilities. It is now operated as a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Sharon Springs Historic District is a national historic district located at Sharon Springs in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes 167 contributing buildings and nine contributing structures. It encompasses all of what remains of the historic mineral water spa, including commercial, institutional, and residential properties associated with its resort function during the period, ca. 1825–1941. The focus of the district is a group of mineral springs that together constitute the world-famous spa for which the village was named. Notable buildings include the Magnesia Temple (1863), Chalybeate Temple (1920s), Lower Bath House, Inhalation Bath House, Imperial Bath House (1927), Adler Hotel (1928), and Roseboro Hotel. Also located in the district is the separately listed American Hotel.

Cobleskill Historic District is a national historic district located at Cobleskill in Schoharie County, New York. The district includes 180 contributing buildings and eight contributing sites. It encompasses a commercial area, several residential streets, churches, an old school, a railroad, and a fairgrounds. The area includes a small stream that runs through a park containing a millpond. The focal point of the community is the 1874 Hotel Augustan, now used for commercial purposes. The oldest building is the Bull's Head Inn, built in 1802.

Schoharie County Courthouse Complex United States historic place

Schoharie County Courthouse Complex is a historic courthouse and county clerk's building located at Schoharie in Schoharie County, New York. The courthouse building was built in 1870 and is a two-story structure above a raised basement structure built of cut limestone block laid random ashlar. It features a shallow hipped roof surmounted by an ornate pyramidal cupola and corner turrets of pressed metal. The county clerk's building is a two-story, hip-roofed, rectangular stone building built of random ashlar limestone in 1914.

Paul Smiths Electric Light and Power and Railroad Company Complex United States historic place

Paul Smith's Electric Light and Power and Railroad Company Complex is a national historic district located at Saranac Lake in Franklin County, New York. It contains two contributing buildings and two contributing structures. The powerhouse was built in 1908-1909 and is a one-story, single room brick building on a stone foundation measuring 40 feet by 55 feet. The office building was built in 1927 and is a three-story steel and masonry building with a terra cotta exterior. It is three bays wide by four bays deep. The Main Street Bridge is a concrete slab bridge built between 1924 and 1931. The Lake Flower Dam and Power Flume was built between 1936 and 1938 with Works Progress Administration assistance.

Tulpehocken Creek Historic District United States historic place

The Tulpehocken Creek Historic District is a national historic district located in North Heidelberg Township, and Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. Encompassing a total of 17,000 acres, this district stretches from the Tulpehocken Creek and Mill Creek at the Berks County-Lebanon County line to the Blue March Dam between Bernville and Millardsville, and is composed of 152 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and four contributing structures which were related to the development which occurred along the upper Tulpehocken Creek from the early 18th century through the late 19th century. Historic buildings located here include early settlement period log cabins, which were built between 1723 and 1750; buildings related to the Charming Forge community, which existed between 1749 and 1895; an early 18th century cemetery and early 19th century church; buildings related to 18th and 19th century farming operations; and structures associated with the development and operation of the Union Canal.

The Tooele Valley Railroad Complex, 35 N. Broadway in Tooele, Utah, dates from 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

St. Pauls Lutheran Church Historic District United States historic place

St. Paul's Lutheran Church Historic District, also known as Schoharie United Presbyterian Church, is a historic Lutheran church complex and national historic district located at Schoharie, Schoharie County, New York. The complex consists of the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church, an 1801 manse, St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, and the old Lutheran Parsonage. The church was built in 1796, and is a two-story rectangular brick building. The front facade features a square, multistage entrance tower capped by an octagonal belfry and spire. The new manse was built in 1801, and is a five bay, two-story, double pile, heavy timber frame Federal style dwelling with a two-story rear ell. The church cemetery has several thousand graves, with the earliest marked grave dated to 1778. The Old Lutheran Parsonage was built in 1743, and is separately listed. In 1920, the local Lutheran and Methodist congregations joined, and in 1960, the congregation voted to affiliate with the Presbyterian denomination.
