Scott Scovell Hamilton is a retired American figure skater and Olympic gold medalist. He won four consecutive U.S. championships (1981–84), four consecutive World Championships (1981–84), and a gold medal in the 1984 Olympics.
The European Figure Skating Championships ("Europeans") is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), and is the oldest of the four annual figure skating competitions designated "ISU Championships". Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The competition is generally held in January.

Philip Dulebohn is an American pair skater. He competed in pairs with partner Tiffany Scott, and the duo won the gold medal at the 2003 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. He and Scott ended their partnership in 2005, and now Dulebohn coaches at the University of Delaware ice arena in Newark, Delaware.

With ice dance partner Scott Moir, she is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2018 Olympic champion, the 2014 Olympic silver medalist, a three-time World champion, a three-time Four Continents champion, the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final champion, an eight-time Canadian National champion, and the 2006 World Junior champion. Virtue and Moir are also the 2018 Olympic gold medalists in the team event and the 2014 Olympic silver medalists in the team event. They are the most decorated Canadian ice dance team of all time and the most decorated Olympic figure skaters of all time.

Suzanne Marie "Suzy" Semanick is an American former figure skater. She competed in ice dance at the 1988 Winter Olympics with Scott Gregory. The pair won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice. She later paired with Ron Kravette and won two bronze medals at the United States Figure Skating Championships. She is now a coach and choreographer in Newark, Delaware and Aston, Pennsylvania.
Scott Chase Gregory is an American former competitive ice dancer. He competed at the 1984 Winter Olympics with Elisa Spitz. He then paired with Suzanne Semanick, with whom he won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice and competed at the Olympics in 1988. He retired from skating that year due to back injuries.

Norman M. Scott was a Canadian figure skater who competed in both single skating and pair skating. His pairs partner was Jeanne Chevalier. As a single skater, he is the 1914 and 1920 Canadian champion. He and Chevalier won the 1914 Canadian pairs title. Scott was part of the four teams that won the silver medal in the Canadian fours championships in 1913.

As a single skater, she is the 1920 and 1921 Canadian champion. She and Scott won the 1914 Canadian pairs title. Chevalier was part of the four teams that won the Canadian fours championships in 1910, 1920 and 1921.

Lisa Sargeant-Driscoll is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. She is the 1990 Skate Canada International silver medalist, 1991 Piruetten champion, and 1990 Canadian national champion. She placed 6th at the 1990 World Championships and 18th the following year.
Barbara Ann Scott was a Canadian figure skater. She was the 1948 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion (1947–1948), and a four-time Canadian national champion in ladies' singles. Known as "Canada's Sweetheart", she is the only Canadian to have won the Olympic ladies' singles gold medal, the first North American to have won three major titles in one year and the only Canadian to have won the European Championship (1947–48). During her forties she was rated among the top equestrians in North America. She received many honours and accolades, including being made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1991 and a member of the Order of Ontario in 2008.
The 2016 NHK Trophy was the final event of six in the 2016–17 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Makomanai Sekisuiheim Ice Arena in Sapporo on November 25–27. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final.
