Scott Thomas is the District Attorney for North Carolina Prosecutorial District 4, which includes Carteret, Craven and Pamlico counties. He is a past President of the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys and former Chairman of the Governor's Crime Commission. Previously, he was a member of the North Carolina State Senate from 2000 to 2005, representing the Second Senatorial district. Before that, he was a one-term member of the North Carolina House of Representatives.
