The Albanians are an ethnic group native to the Balkan Peninsula and are identified by a common Albanian ancestry, culture, history and language. They primarily live in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia as well as in Croatia, Greece and Italy. They also constitute a diaspora with several communities established in the Americas, Europe and Oceania.
Kosovo, officially the Republic of Kosovo, is a partially recognized state with a disputed territory in Southeastern Europe.
The flag of Albania is a red flag with a silhouetted black double-headed eagle in the center. The red stands for bravery, strength and valor, while the double-headed eagle represents the sovereign state of Albania. The flag was established as the national flag of Albania when the country gained its independence from the Ottoman empire in 1912.
The Central European Initiative (CEI) is a forum of regional cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe, counting 18 member states. It was formed in Budapest in 1989. The CEI headquarters have been in Trieste (Italy) since 1996.
The League of Lezhë was a military alliance of Albanian feudal lords forged in Lezhë on 2 March 1444, with Skanderbeg as leader of the regional Albanian and Serbian chieftains united against the Ottoman Empire. Skanderbeg was proclaimed "Chief of the League of the Albanian people".
KF Albpetrol Patos is an Albanian football club located in the city of Patos in Fier County. Their home ground is the Alush Noga Stadium and they currently compete in the Albanian Second Division.
Albania first participated at the Summer Olympic Games in 1972. They missed the next four games, three of them for political reasons due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott, 1984 Summer Olympics boycott and 1988 boycotts, but returned for the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics. They have appeared in all games since then. They made their Winter Olympic Games debut in 2006. Albania normally competes in events that include swimming, athletics, weightlifting, shooting and wrestling. The country has not yet won an Olympic medal, and along with Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is the only European non-microstate without an Olympic medal. They have been represented by the Albanian National Olympic Committee since 1972.
Miss Universe Albania is a national beauty pageant in Albania. The pageant was founded as Miss Albania in 2002, until rebranding as Miss Universe Albania in 2006. Since 2006, winners of the competition have competed internationally in Miss Universe, while some runners-up have competed in Miss World.
Monika Zguro won the title of Miss Albania 1993. and Miss Europe 1995, where she finished third.
Sidni Hoxha is an Albanian swimmer who participated for the first time in the 2008 Olympic Games in the 50 m freestyle at the age of 16 years. Hoxha currently swims for Old Dominion University in Virginia. He swam for the Albanian swim club Tirana Defina Sport (TDS), which was initially coached by Dashamir Bregu and later by his father Shpetim Hoxha and Agron Cukja.
1993–94 Albanian Cup was the forty-second season of Albania's annual cup competition. It began on August 1993 with the First Round and ended on May 1994 with the final matches. The winners of the competition qualified for the 1994-95 first qualifying round of the UEFA Cup. KF Partizani were the defending champions, having won their fourteenth Albanian Cup last season. The cup was won by KF Tirana.

Adrola Dushi is Albanian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Albania 2012. She represented her country at the 2012 Miss Universe pageant.
Diana Çuli, is an Albanian writer, journalist and politician. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Tirana in 1973. After graduation she joined the editorial boards of Drita and French-speaking magazine Les lettres albanaises. In 1990, she became involved with the democratic opposition and became the head of the Independent Women's Forum, and then joined the Albanian Social Democratic Party.
The Albania national under-16 football team represents Albania in international football at this age level and is controlled by Albanian Football Association, the governing body for football in Albania.
Albania–Austria relations refer to the current and historical relations of Albania and Austria. Albania has an embassy in Vienna and 7 honorary consulates in Eisenstadt, Gössendorf, Graz, Grödig, Salzburg, St. Pölten and Villach. Austria has an embassy in Tirana. The history of diplomatic relations of Albania and Austria dates back to 1912, when Albania declared its independence in November 28, 1912. As a European Union (EU) member, Austria supports Albania in its euro-integration path.
