Elections were held in Simcoe County, Ontario on October 25, 2010 in conjunction with municipal elections across the province.
Simcoe County is located in the central portion of Southern Ontario, Canada. The county is just north of the Greater Toronto Area, stretching from the shores of Lake Simcoe in the east to Georgian Bay in the west. Simcoe County forms part of the Greater Golden Horseshoe area, a densely populated and industrialized region, centred on the Greater Toronto Area.
Ontario is one of the 13 provinces and territories of Canada and is located in east-central Canada. It is Canada's most populous province accounting for 38.3 percent of the country's population, and is the second-largest province in total area. Ontario is fourth-largest in total area when the territories of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut are included. It is home to the nation's capital city, Ottawa, and the nation's most populous city, Toronto, which is also Ontario's provincial capital.
The county council consists of the mayors and deputy mayors of the municipalities.

In many countries, a mayor is the highest-ranking official in a municipal government such as that of a city or a town.
The Mayor of the City of Los Angeles is the official head and chief executive officer of Los Angeles, California, United States. The officeholder is elected for a four-year term and limited to serving no more than two terms. Under the Constitution of California, all judicial, school, county and city offices, including those of chartered cities, are nonpartisan. Eric Garcetti has been the city's 42nd and current mayor since 2013.
The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff is the governing body for Cardiff, one of the Principal Areas of Wales. The council consists of 75 councillors, representing 29 electoral wards. The authority is properly styled as The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff or in common use Cardiff Council. No other style is sanctioned for use on Council Documents although it does occasionally appear wrongly as Cardiff County Council on documents and signage. The City & County itself is usually simply referred to as Cardiff.
Brenda Lulenar Lawrence is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party who served as the Mayor of Southfield, Michigan from 2001 to 2015. The Democratic nominee for Oakland County Executive in 2008 and for lieutenant governor in 2010, she was elected U.S. Representative for Michigan's 14th congressional district in 2014. The district includes most of eastern Detroit, and stretches west to take in portions of Oakland County, including Lawrence's home in Southfield.

The 2016 Miami-Dade County mayoral election took place on August 30, 2016 and November 8, 2016. After an August 30 first round, incumbent Mayor Carlos A. Giménez defeated Miami Dade School Board member Raquel Regalado on November 8. The election was officially nonpartisan. The race was marred by controversy, including attempts by Regalado to take Giménez off the ballot and accusations that Giménez was responsible for flyers suggesting Regalado was in association with then Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump.
An election for Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco will be held on November 5, 2019. London Breed, the incumbent mayor, will be eligible to run for a first full term in office.
The Hoboken Mayoral Election of 2017 was an election to determine who will hold the office of Mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey in the upcoming term of 2018-2022. The election took place on November 7, 2017. Incumbent Mayor Dawn Zimmer announced that she would not run for a third term on June 20, 2017, hoping to pursue climate change issues higher up in the chain of government, and endorsed City Councilman Ravinder Bhalla. On November 7, Bhalla was elected mayor of Hoboken, with 32.75% of the vote, becoming the first Sikh mayor in New Jersey history, and the first turbaned Sikh to be elected mayor in the United States.
The 2018 Nashville mayoral special election took place on May 24, 2018, and elected the mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. David Briley, who became interim mayor after the resignation of Megan Barry, won outright without a runoff election.
