Sugar Loaf is a bluff on the Mississippi River topped by a rock pinnacle, overlooking the city of Winona, Minnesota, United States. The name "Sugar Loaf" is sometimes taken to mean just the rock pinnacle, which was created by quarrying in the 19th century. The bluff stands above the junction of U.S. Route 61 and State Highway 43. It towers 500 feet (150 m) over Lake Winona, and the pinnacle rises more than 85 feet (26 m) above the remainder of the bluff.
Red Hill Patrick Henry National Memorial, in Charlotte County, Virginia, near the Town of Brookneal, is the final home and burial place of Patrick Henry, the fiery legislator and orator of the American Revolution. Henry bought Red Hill Plantation at his retirement in 1794 and occupied it until 1799, the year of his death. In addition to the main house, Henry used another building as his law office. There were also dependencies and slave quarters on the working 2,930-acre tobacco plantation. The plantation was located on the Staunton River for transportation.

Archaeological excavations of the land document ceremonial activity of the Taínos, as well as historic remains of plantation ruins.

The Kilauea Plantation or Kilauea Sugar Plantation was a large sugarcane plantation on the north side of Kauai island, Hawaii, including the community of Kilauea, Hawaii. It was owned and operated by the 1880-incorporated Kilauea Sugar Company, which became the Kilauea Sugar Plantation, Co. from 1899 on. The original property was bought by an American, Charles Titcomb, from Kamehameha IV by 1863 who used it for cattle ranching. It was sold to Englishmen John Ross and E.P. Adams, who also leased additional land from Titcomb. Ross and Adams planted sugarcane, then incorporated a firm. It was operated as a plantation from 1880 to 1971.

Ruins of the plantation's buildings are behind the beach and upon a hill overlooking the bay.
