At the 2001 India census, [1] Siras Pur had a population of 14,558. Males constituted 56% of the population and females 44%. It had an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%, with male literacy at 73% and female literacy at 55%. 17% of the population was under 6 years of age.

Gokal Pur village is founded by a Rajput clan, more than 300 years ago( exact time/date is not known). There were two brothers, one is Gokal and other is Johri. Gokul establish village Gokalpur and Johri established village Johripur. The present population majorly includes gurjars, rajputs, pandits and valmikis. It was previously a village with cultivated land and few houses. But around 1967, the land was taken over by Land and Building department. The land than handed over to DDA. Wazirabad Road, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar college, MIG and LIG flats, etc are all on the land that Land and Building department acquired from the farmers of village gokalpur.
